So excited, just got flights and tickets to the game on Sunday. Bringing my 13 yr old son for his first game and it will be my first game since the last season at TRS.

I don't want to be one of those people, but can someone please tell me what would be the best hotel within walking distance. We can walk a couple miles if needed.

I know it gats posted on here all the time but I couldn't find it. When I travel I usually stay at Hilton brand hotels.

We fly out later Monday so what can we do Monday morning? or Sunday night after the victory!! Please

The few times I have been, I have stayed at the Sheraton in Station Square. Expensive, but very nice hotel. The have the riverboats that pick you up right outside the hotel and drops you off right at the gate to the stadium. Pretty nice experience and my bet is your son will love the boat ride...and so will you...its only 15 minute ride or so...enough for a beer or two....which they sell on the boat. Can't remember the cost...but its relatively cheap...$5 each way or something like that.

As far as the morning after...if you stay at the station square Sheraton...walk down to the old train depot (less than half mile...maybe only quarter of a mile) and there are Steeler shops in there. I'm from Virginia and die hard Steeler fan but its all Redskin stuff around here...so I was amazed at what all they had in these shops. Have fun!

And don't forget to head over to Primanti Brothers for Lunch on Monday before you leave. You won't regret it.

I was just there for the KC game. I've been twice now and stayed at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South (link below). It's not walking distance from the stadium, but it's right across the street from the station for the T, light rail system which costs like $7 per person round trip. Was well worth it for us to ride that and not deal with traffic.

I paid $100 per night... Not like $300 that you'll pay downtown.

You can ask them at the front desk where it is and for a map.

I'm going to be there this weekend too and we're staying at the Wyndham Grand Downtown. It's only a 10 minute walk to the stadium (over the bridge) and has a view of Heinz Field as well. I've stayed at the Sheraton before too and you can't go wrong with them, it's a nice place and, as mentioned above, the ferry docks right there.

    Enjoy!:herewego:

I just got a room at the Wyndham also...I'm so excited I can't wait to tell my son when I get home from work. I got flights for $179 round trip from Boston each and tickets sec 123 row c for $140 each...

What time does the tailgating start...I haven't had an Iron City Beer in alomost 10 years I think.

Well Done. We don't usually tailgate (don't rent a car), but it starts early! Last time we arrived around 10 am and it was already in full gear.

Let's hope the rain holds off for us on Sunday!

Have a blast - as far as tailgating I believe it started around 7:25pm last Sunday just as Squeezem's kick cleared the goalposts with 0:00 on the clock. I was going to suggest the Renaissance Hotel at the foot of the Clemente Bridge. Very $$$$$$$ but oh so close and one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. (It helped that my buddy got us on the concierge level with open bars and good eats). Gotta like our chances no matter who is at QB this game.

Have fun. Steelers fans need to get to this game. Lots of tickets for sale on the exchange and on ticketmaster. But, its threatening rain. You can get some cheap tickets when it rains.
