Ryan Clark is STEELERS choice for Walter Payton man of the year award

    Ryan Clark was just given the honor of being the steelers choice as Walter Payton Man of the Year. This is an award that acknowledges a players off the field contributions to his community. Clark has been recognized for his work with sickle cell, as well as his work with the Dairy Managements fuel up to play 60 program.

    Very well deserved. Congrats. I hope he wins it. I'm sure any of the other 31 nominees are very deserving as well. Congrats to all of them for making a difference!

    It would sure be great to have one of our players get some POSITIVE press for a change! I hope he gets it. I also think he is the defensive MVP this year. Even when we were sucking he was still the guy that was playing. He had to drift over and help Ike out too. Ryan is one of those guys that I feel like is gonna show up to play and I've criticized him in the past for what I thought was just trying to hit people instead of just fundamentally tackling people. I hope he gets the award. Who are the other nominees?

    Congrats Ryan, keep up the good work
    helluva a ball player and hitter. One of my current Steeler favorites,
    No tapping out for this guy, he plays football the way it is supposed to be played.
    HEART and PASSION baby, will trump talent all the time.
