Exactly. Hurts first season was some of the worst QB play I have ever seen.

Hurts was a talented project who was considered non pro ready. That's not kenny Pickett.

The problem is Pickett is straddled with a non pro ready offensive playbook

The guy who started two full seasons for Alabama and one for Oklahoma was a project. Right. Logic and reason are truly foreign concepts to you.

Hack has a point. For example Geno smith is in his seventh season and I think every team that drafted a QB last year would trade that QB for geno smith.

Exceptions aren’t the norm. And Geno was good out of the gate this season, Mitch struggled and look like same old Mitch before getting benched.

I know everybody wants Matt Cananda fired, i get it, but he did not lose the game for us, after that loss I am not going to fire the OF coordinator: Too many penalties, too many not on the same page plays by the offense, and then you add the exploitation of Witherspoon and Brown... we need to show a little more dominance in the secondary, Hurts just threw a coin flip pass and Brown won every single match up... we need more confidence and intimidation in the secondary.. Canada lives another day...

That is why I was fascinated... Mitch struggled and was benched... then they other guy came in and played the same and the stadium was chanting his name.

My 6 year old cat is a piece of crap

Your new car is crap... yes but it's so new. It's exciting. (I know the analogy is weak.. cars don't just get better... and people hope KP does.. no need to argue the analogy)

It could be having Pete Carroll coaching Geno up. Russell looks like he is missing Pete.

What you want to see from an heir to the franchise QB position are flashes that show he's got "it". Burrow played behind a horrid OL last season and yet had many flashes that showed he could be good. You also expect to see these flashes maybe once or twice a game minimum.

Through 294 snaps I've seen maybe a couple of plays that were 'franchise worthy' from Pickett. Sure, he has a long list of reasons for his play but so did Burrow last season.

I think you have to go back to Burrow’s first year if you want to compare him to Pickett. He had Chase last season, which put that offense on a completely different level.

Burrow without Chase is a completely different player than Burrow with Chase.

Yes, he was looking like someone who wouldn't last too long. But this raises some thoughts. Did their OC modify the offense to get Hurts into a better position to succeed, or did Hurts adapt himself to the OC scheme? I only mention this because of KP and his situation as a rookie being similar to Hurts. Can our (don't laugh) OC adapt our offense to KPs skill set or should KP figure it out, or be developed, to work within Canada's scheme? I really have no idea and it may be a combination of both, but do we have the brain trust in our coaching staff to pull this off? Likewise, does KP have the ability to adapt as well? JMO>

I wonder if the Bungals had Canada what would have happened with Burrows last year? KP might be at a disadvantage in that regard. JMO>

compare Pickett’s first 4 games to Rudolph’s. Then look at the people that blast Rudolph and make excuses for Pickett.

Just my thoughts on Geno. He is in his 10th season, played for 4 teams, is in his 4th year with Seattle where he was a backup to Russell Wilson for 3 of those years to learn the system. He is in a division that is not good this season.
