Shoulder to shoulder. He smashed that boy. No helmet hit. That boy just got smashed.

What was kazee to do? Let him land? Because that boy had the ball wrapped into his chest.

Also me and one other told y'all he was a good pick up. Sticks he was injured, but him and fitz will be having fun together.

What you seen today is what kazee does normally.

After the replay showed that it was a shoulder to shoulder hit the announcers still spouted the company line that it was a helmet to helmet hit.

Yup real time it looked like he might have caught him with the helmet, but they didn't take the guy off the field for a head shot...

Watched it over a few times and it was straight shoulder to shoulder. Dude just exploded to the side!

It was a brutal hit and the refs in this day and age will throw that flag every time and that's too damn bad. When I saw it I said pansy league. Put a skirt on them all. All a lead up to flag football. This is supposed to be the highest level of sports and proves that if you still want to see great hits you'll have to turn on the NHL instead. Even that league frowns upon it anymore but they can still drive players into the boards.

Honestly I'm about done with the NHL at this point. They don't really protect the skilled guys in the playoffs and it's clear they have certain market agendas at times.

I've always said, if you have new hockey fans asking why a penalty in the regular season is not a penalty in the playoffs, you've got a product people won't watch!

I predict that, in 20 years, They'll play "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows" on the jumbotron while they show the best flag pulls from the previous week!

They called the same thing on Minkah a couple weeks ago.

    Weak flag.

Agreed, and yet the Hit to Najee was helmet to helmet, and nothing said.

Just so it's clear. Shoulder to shoulder. Other angle is kazee head in front of olave head, so that looks like helmet to helmet. But it's not.

I wish itd be allowed but isnt the ruling head/neck area on defensless receiver?

The judgement calls on these hits are so subjective as mentioned najee got hit helmet to helmet

I think the difference is defenseless WR vs a runner.

The NFL frowns on brutal hits. If it looks bad, then it is a penalty probably. They have made the refs act like doctors practicing defensive medicine.

Best to not to ever hit a receiver high to knock the ball out. Swat it out or just make the tackle or hit lower.

Looked like a shoulder-to-shoulder hit to me. I can see how a ref threw the flag in real time thinking it was helmet-to-helmet. I'm just thankful players aren't kicked out after reviews like in the college game. Would've sucked to see that play reviewed and Kazee booted anyways. I'm very doubtful Kazee gets a letter in the mail this week.

Any hit above the waist on a "defenseless" player runs the risk of drawing a foul. Unfortunately, that's what the NFL has become. They won't openly admit it, but they want to make it easier for receivers to catch balls and rack up points and fantasy stats.. That's what drives revenue. Over the past couple decades, and with the growth of fantasy football and real-time stats and now betting, the league has transitioned from emphasizing physicality to emphasizing offensive statistics. Again, follow the money.

Swating isn't going to happen. He would have looked just like the other guy going for air and letting a TD happen.

They have to make a decision for 23. He is only signed for this year. He is a physical player and I feel is an upgrade over Edmonds.

Oh, the hit? Clean as Mr Clean. Solid hit, Pittsburgh Style...

Ha ha ha ha ha i'm back MFers! Love it!

in todays wussifed league, YES, it is a penalty. Defenseless receiver category, will be flagged ALL DAY LONG. Does not need to be lead with the helmet
