I heard on 93.7 The Fan today an amazing stat for our 2 starting ILB's Bush and Jack.

    Total Forced Fumbles - Zero
    Total Fumble Recoveries - Zero
    Total Sacks - Zero
    Total Interceptions - Zero

I mean I wouldn’t be that surprised everyone knows Bush is a bust and Jack is just an average linebacker.

Not good, but not a surprise if you watch the games. Jack at least has a lot of tackles…. I think.

I often think the regression of the Steelers D can be traced back to Shazier's injury. I think the D was on track to be something good with him at linebacker. Never really found a replacement.

I feel he is a bit more above average but he is working next to a dolt. He has 58 solo tackles and 19 assists. Bush has 33 solo and 12 assists.

Don't be surprised if they try to resign this dolt for a year. They won't be able to fix everything in the 23 draft. Would it be a mistake? Absolutely.

Hopefully Mark Robinson gets the nod and they let Bush sail off to the garment district.

Spillane will be a UFA after the 22 season.

They will probably handle the dolt the same as they did Edmunds

Let him go in FA if no one signs him bring him back at vet minimum

This is beyond ridiculous. Shazier was a good, not a great, player. Our defense wasn't that great when he was playing that I can remember. I will say that TJ's absence is much more of a negative impact than Shazier's was. It's astonishing that for years after an average ILB was injured an entire defense was sabotaged for several seasons afterwards. What other situations can be said about an offense or defense being crippled for years after 1 player was lost? Help me out here. JMO>

    Roquan for a 2nd and 5th

    Cleypool for a 2nd

Maybe should have done Clsypool and Bush for Roquan

If you sign Smith long term great
If you don't you get a comp 3rd most likely

I am pretending that today starts a new season and compiling stats from scratch. Can't do much about water under the bridge, but maybe start building something/ anything to give some optimistic feel for the future. Of course, this could backfire big time with things continuing to suck or even suck worse, but I've built up an immunity to failure so that it won't feel so bad. Goal today is to be 1-0. JMO>

Jack is average but looks like a HOF LB compared to our other ILBs this year and last year

I agree... and unfortunately it falls into the category of a high round bust draft pick no longer on the team...even though that wasn't the case

Think you undervalued Shazier a little..He was an important part to that changing defense and he was becoming a very good player. They still have not replaced what he brought to the table
