When it will be the time to fire Matt Canada?

Canada will get fired when MT and AR ll wake up.

Canada's play calling in the Miami game was just terrible. Going against Miami's 2nd and 3rd string DBs you have to push the ball down the field. Can't blame the O-Line on this as they had a good game against Miami giving Pickett time to throw the ball down the field on most passing plays.

So let me get this straight…. The offense has great talent and is going to be tremendous… Is that after you get canned? Because if they have talent and potential, sounds like you’re the problem.

 

This is an incredible statement by Canada. I mean, this is something one says during the preseason, not 7 games into the season. I'm also not sure how firing him on Monday changes much. Sullivan will be calling the same stupid plays. He'll have time to install wrinkles to the existing offense, but not enough time to really overhaul it.

 

That is crazy with this being after the Miami game. Miami's defensive backfield for that game was probably the worst DB in the league with them having to play their 2nd and 3rd stringers because of injuries.

If his offensive can't put up passing yards against Miami, it never will.

Bye week coming after the Eagles game, so I am hoping to see something big happen..... Did someone say Todd Haley?

As much as I would like to see that happen, I can't see Haley being installed mid-way through the season. He's contracted to coach a team in the XFL, plus bringing him in would basically mean installing a new offence. Stranger things have happened though.

I have no idea what they do, the posted tweet was from an article I saw on line today. I don't trust media sources, but this seems to have some fire to it...especially after hearing his interview. I don't think bringing in someone is realistic, most likely promoting an interim from within as a temp..maybe bringing in a consultant and working on a better game plan and play calling strategy. It gives the rest of the season and then you have more opportunity to interview.

 

I cannot fathom how the players don't torch this guy in the media after every game. He deserves it.

 

Why is Tomlin never responsible?

 

He's responsible for his awful OC, but he's a Hall of Fame head coach. It's hard to argue with the job he's done.

 

In the eyes of every other NFL fan I encounter week to week "I really like the Steelers HC". "He will turn it around". "Your team is always competitive".

My response is "I've been wanting him gone since 2018". "Do you want him?".

Big Ben certainly bailed him out over the years if you ask me.

Canada needed to be fired last year but MT doesn't like to fire his buddies.
