1-7 at the bye

Wow. Care to place a wager? I'll even give you 10 to 1 odds. If the Steelers go 4-0 over the next 4 games I will pay you $1000. If they lose or tie any one of those next 4 games you pay me $100.

To be fair you do carry on about the Eagles a lot.

 

Somehow we will steal a win in that stretch making it 2-6 at worst. Then we kick butt the rest of the way.

 

For me of has nada to do with belief and more to do with watching the game the past 30ish years. Plus, there's some progress with this team, especially running the ball.

 

What set me off is I was saying something I believe to a Benny Lava thread. I think we beat Tampa and Philly. I gave my reasons and I was being serious. He blew up at something that is a good thing for the Steelers. Maybe I should have said the birds will beat us??????

 

Sorry I wasn’t trying to be a jerk about it. I know that you live near Philadelphia and probably get sick and tired of hearing about the Eagles, but most people here could really care less about discussing the Eagles. With that said man I would love to beat the Eagles. Problem is we hardly beat them in their house.

 

I don't think we could beat the Eagle's practice squad in our own house right now.

 

That’s why they play the games.

 

The biggest thing I've noticed, and if You think about it, or go back, and look year from year....People crowning Champs, and chumps with only 4 weeks of the season having been played. There will be at least two teams that look great now that will suck, and at least two teams that look sucky now that will be good....happens every year.

 

I don't think they will be 1-7, they will find a way to win a couple of those games IMO.

 

With Kenny being named starter, I think growth and progress is more important than being 1-7 or 3-4 or whatever. I want to see how much chemistry develops between Kenny and the WRs, more emphasis on getting the run game going and continued OL growth. On defense I want more Loudermilk to spell Cam. More Loudermilk keeps Cam fresh for the 4Q. I want to see 4Q of football from our defense sooner than later. We're going to need them as much as we did in 2019.

 

I think 2-6, but not sure where the win comes from. Probably an amazing defensive effort.

Sounds like Mike Tomlin alright. That said, it is still going to be difficult overall.

 

On a serious note, 2-2 would be a dream scenario.

 

Honesty hard to argue a win in the next coming weeks. However, that’s why they play the game. Plus the Steelers are known to play up to their competition.

 

This team certainly has the lion's share of problems but I just can't be that "sky is falling" guy. If you're not even remotely excited about what the future holds for Pickett and this team, I've got nothing for ya.

Theres alot of women in thier 50s that are more beautiful than 30 year olds. They dont want kids anymore and might send you home with a snack and a juice box..lol

But I might think that way because I'm about to turn 59.

I think 1-7 at the bye will be enough time for a new OC or DC to make changes during the long break.

Send the players home on their break and when they return, they will have a new coaching staff.

I don't know the last time the Steelers were 1-7? Was I even alive?

 

A potential T.J. return has been pushed back to after the bye now, so it's probably pretty likely.

I would consider shutting T.J. down for the year at that point, but this division is so bad.

Ravens could easily be 4-4 and leading the division at that point. Somehow we will pull out a win and be 2 games out of first place at 2-6.
