I'd say the only good thing about this defense is watt but injuries must be genetic in that family. They are officially the joke of the league. QB play isn’t the issue. It’s the mismanagement of the o-line. Writing was on the wall. Pouncey was the worst center in the league his last two years. We did nothing to prepare. Draft a guard and try to teach him the position on the fly at pro level. Typical Tomlin lacking foresight.

Also, Tomlin hasn’t been able to draft and develop DBs especially corners. This has been the teams achilles heel his whole tenure.

Bush being a bust has hurt.

WRs think they’re a lot better than they are. Looking at DJ and Claypool.

Hiring friends… Matt Canada is terrible. Flores hasn’t made an impact.

 

Well it starts with people thinking that arm strength, and how fast a Qb runs is what makes a great Qb.....If that was true......Cam Newton, Mike Vick, and Marcus Mariota would have won all the SBs instead of none, and T. Brady, ,and Joe Montana wouldn't have any. LoL

how can you even make that comparison? We're not talking about an owner that questions every single call made by the team. We're talking about an owner that needs to provide some leadership to this team. No one wants a Jones or a steinbrenner or a Snyder just an owner that at least recognizes when things are going south and will take some kind of a stand to improve the team.

 

I am looking at teams who built true defenses and turned it around. Niners, Cowboys, bills, broncos, TB, Eagles right now all playing really good defense. I see those teams shutting down offenses when they need to for the most part. We get sacks but when we don't we suck. Actually even games we do get sacks we still allow good amount of points.

Steelers are 26th ppg in points allowed, yes Watt is out and we are banged up but still coordinators look lost.

There is a common component to why we parrot the same things year in and year out with different players and coordinators. Just haven't put a finger on it yet lol

Take away the big plays? That's the defenses job. The fact that they are giving up big plays is the issue. I don't understand how you say "take away the big plays" The big plays are the problem. I guess we just don't agree
