That seems a bit high on the 9.5. I was thinking they would be 6 or 7 points as the favorite. 34 might be about right on the over/under. What does everyone think?

Well, if you think 9-1/2 is too high, profit from the distorted line and drop a bundle on the Black and Gold.

It does make you wonder, if the bookies are having trouble attracting Steeler money, and that they have to offer lots/lots of points to attract it.

Did you see how Batch played last week? We lost to Cleveland. Baltimore at home has to be a huge favorite.

That looks like a Vets office, did he put him down? That's brutal, I've been at some of those just as support and not even my dog and it's rough.

I don't think he put her down, but she's been getting chemo treatments and all three rounds failed.

Can't tell you how many dogs I hear of getting cancer now, I know so many people whos dogs have died of it. Growing up, I never recall this happening so much.

I'm surprised it's not higher with all of injury issues we're suffering.

A Steelers win pays no matter what. Might not bet the farm, but I'd go with that.

I couldn't bet on a Steelers game, it's already too dramatic for my health. But id bet pretty big on the Steelers to cover and this "Black Ice" defense to secure the under.

On another note I feel for Charlie, my dog of 13 years is full of cancer. Just the thought of her meeting her end gets my blood boiling and pisses me off beyond belief. Maybe Charlie can channel some of that energy he must be feeling and get amped up for this game even more.

I never have and never will bet on a Steelers game for the same reason.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I was devastated when my 9 1/2 year old Weimaraner died in '01. It was like I lost my best friend.

Put a few dollars on your team. Makes the game alittle more intense.

As for both of your dogs... I feel for you both. I lost 2 dogs....It is like losing a family member. So sorry!!

Oh man I feel for all of you guys. I lost my weiner dog Lucy almost a year ago and man you talk about crying like a baby. There's hardly been a day to go by that I don't think about her and miss her. My father in law and wife had to bury her somewhere over at his house. I didn't want to know where she was at and I DEFINITELY couldn't have dug a hole and put her in it. Just comfort them as much as possible and enjoy the time you have. I can honestly say that I enjoyed Lucy to the fullest. We still have Desi and Leia but there was something about Lucy ya know? She was just "mine" I guess. I really don't know exactly what it was that got her. I think she had a brain tumor though because she started having swelling around her eye then she started having seizures then she would literally just walk in circles and that was all she could do and then she went blind. I finally had to have her put to sleep. My vet is a good church friend that I have and he came out and did it for us for free and he was really professional about it. I think that helped a lot because I would've been really mad if a vet would've been kinda cold to us. People that don't have dogs just have no clue what it's like to lose one. But it really is like losing a family member for sure.

Charlie has to be in a tough place right now. Our dog got cancer on my wedding day and died three weeks later. As has already been said, your pet is like one of the family. I like my dogs better than most people.

I feel for ya Charlie, I have had to put 3 dogs down, It doesn't get
any easier. Bawled like a baby for two weeks with my Golden Retriever.
Needless to say I don't have a dog now, I would like another one, but I am
just not home enough to take care of it properly.

I had to put my golden/lab mix down in January this year. She was only 7 and had what they called Large cell lymphoma. They said it is a very aggressive form of cancer and that there wasnt anything we could do. I told my vet, I dont care what it costs, I want to get her cured....thats when they told me that they dont ever really cure dogs of cancer, that the treatment is too much for them to handle. What they do is try to make the dog comfortable and maybe get 6 more months to a year of life for them. I was devastated because I didnt want my dog to suffer and I was mad because I couldnt save her. From the time she was diagnosed to the point where it was just too bad for her to suffer and I had to put her down was 18 days. I never gave up on her, but her aggressive cancer was ravaging her body all through out her intestinal tract and her spleen was engorged. I cried like a baby and still miss her today. She was my best friend and a dogs love doesnt even compare, its so unconditional....I love my wife and my kids but my dog loved me and she was always there to greet me everytime I walked through the door.

I truly believe it's the food. I won't get into it much here as this is a football forum, but if people knew what was really in dog food they would be horrified. Dead and diseased dogs, cats and farm animals are ground up and made into dog food, including animals still wearing collars and leashes. There's almost no meat in many dog foods, the protein is derived from plants, and the rest is filler that has almost no nutritional value for dogs. 100% of food sold at Walmart and grocery stores is pure poison.

    Anyway, onto football.

I unfortunately just don't see the steelers winning this week. I just can't see it, not with the way we've looked on offence lately. We're awful. I am going to bet the under though.
