Well for me, I wanted 2 offensive players and 2 defensive players. I also wanted 2 from each era of championships (The real Mount Rushmore features presidents from 3 centuries). Mean Joe is a no brainer. Ben and Mike have played more games than anyone as a Steeler so they are going on. That leaves one defensive player from the 2000s and none are more worthy than Troy.

Blount is, of course, worthy, but we would need am entire mountain range to get all of the worthy guys on there.

The Bus was/ is one of my all time Steeler favorites. JMO Earl was in another league.

    Mixing it up a bit:

    Lambert
    J Harrison
    Greg Lloyd
    Mel Blount

    A Mt. Rushmore of intimidation.

I lived on the North Side when Art Rooney did

    Good human being

He sent hand written letters when he thought they needed it or deserved it

He went to funeral homes to show respect even when he didn’t know the deceased or family

But he was a lousy football executive

This team did nothing until he let his son Dan take charge

If you want to put a Rooney up there put up Dan

I bet this is going to go well

He'll of man, terrible football man. Could have stayed at Yonkers and he would have been perfectly happy. Dan was the man that turned this franchise around.

Couldn't disagree with you more. Both the SB's Cowher and Tomlin won was because of #7...without him, Cowher would not have won a Championship, and your hero Tomlin would now be a defensive backs coach at some scrub college (which is where I think he should be). Tomlin is NOT a great coach, and it's a reach to even call him a good coach. Good coaches do NOT get bounced out of the playoffs by second-tier BUMS like Blake Bortles, Tim Tebow, and Bakers Mayfield. They also don't build a team as sh!tty as the current roster, nor do they always pretend it's someone else's fault. I think it's funny that so many fans brag and give Tomlin credit for the Arizona win & the non-losing seasons, but then immediately fail to acknowledge that Tomlin has now turned us into the old Bungles of the NFL. At any rate, please put your head back down in the sand and pretend everything is great....

I agree with some of this, but putting it this way is not good.....Is Belichick, and Brady a good coach, and Qb????
Well they lost to Mark Sanchez, Jake Plummer, and Joe Flacco in the playoffs, and Nic Foles in the SB.

Lol that you think Tomlin's my hero. I've been ready to move on for about 5 years. Doesn't mean I won't grant the man his legacy, which by the way he has earned.

Cowher won his Super Bowl despite Ben. Ben played awful in XL.

Without Ben they don't get to the SB.....period. That year in the Playoffs....7 passing tds, 2 rushing tds, and 3 ints.....So that's 9 tds , and 3 ints.....also a awesome tackle in the Indy game.

Agree. But that team wasn't built around Ben like the guy was suggesting. The team was built around defense and running the ball. I give credit to Ben for what he meant to that team. Cowher was a great coach even before Ben got there.
