How much confidence do you have over the next four game stretch of At Bills, Bucs, At Miami and then at Eagles? I sure we will light them up with that amazing offense Matt C has created. Batten down the hatches boys...we are in for a rocky season.

none - which is why I called for a losing season. it is just a matter of how much.....

we suck - shall I say, the O sucks, bottom of the pile. No surprises there unless you are only here as a cheerleader....

bucs have some WR trouble right now but still have you know who. that may be a game we can eek out a win if we keep improving. kazee could possibly be back through that stretch. i hope anyway. we have some new additions that could help out a little that may be up to speed with the defense by then too. short week now but a long week before the next one. we shall see.

I say we split. I never underestimate the Steelers. Maybe Pickett comes in hot and things turn around. You never know.

Yeah I agree. On any given Sunday....let's hope they saw the offensive woes we all saw against the Pats and addressed it. We shall see tomorrow night.

the best we can feasibly hope for is continued progress with OL, watt back in short order, a switch to Pickett, and tomlin forcing the OC to loosen things up a bit. if all that happens quickly? we still lose most if not all of those games IMO. hope to be proven entirely wrong.

They need big improvement on the offense(maybe big change at the OC or QB too) if they want to be at 4-4 at least.

what are y’all going to do if Pickett comes in and does rookie things?

oh wait I know exactly what y’all will do. There will be a few more thousand threads with some variation of fire tomlin, fire Canada, fire ARII!!

Nothing to see here folks. Same old "Ain't No Sunshine" depressing prognostications. Just let them play the games already. I watch each game expecting the Steelers to win, somehow, someway. So much more entertaining and relaxing than dwelling on all of the negatives no matter how realistic/probable they might be. To each their own - misery certainly loves company as evident on this MB, even when they're winning (remember the 11-0 start?). Try not to choke on your beers though. I'm looking forward to each and every upcoming game with excitement and the hope "our" team will win. Pollyanna-ish? You betcha! Otherwise - why not ignore the season and tune back in in February to see how it all played out. (Sorry TTF - that could affect the bottom line without all those hits but us few $$ supporters hopefully will bail you out).

Yeah. Much better to watch a 6 year veteran do rookie things.

I would sign up now to be 3-2 after the Biils game. But one game at a time!

Did you see how many points the browns scored? I don't think this offense can score that in 6 games.

That is a brutal stretch after the Brown and Jets

Very possible they will be 3-5 or even 2-6 after 8 games. They can lose to anybody with this offence

Until Watt comes back I’m not sure this team is capable of winning another game. Football does involve luck however so odds are they are 2-6.

I know it’s all speculation, but say a losing season happens with:
A better defense than last year
    Somewhat improved o line
Better WR corps - considering JuJu was hurt last year
    Najee with experience

    So, why would that happen?

Many of those teams score 40+ points in a single game. We will be lucky to reach that total by week 5.

Imo it's brutal starting with the Browns and the Jets....Browns will run ,run & run some more....and surprisingly Jets are looking better, and they might have Zac Wilson back for that game

    Yes, really.

Miami scored 42 versus the Ravens, the Bills scored 31 vs the Rams and 41 vs the Titans. The Eagles scored 38 vs the Lions.

The Steelers scored 16 offensive points vs the Bengals and 14 vs the Patriots. Neither of those teams are defensive juggernauts...so it's not unreasonable to think we may be scoring in the single digits against teams like the Bills, Rams, Bucs and Eagles.
