As a member of the Browns....

He played for the Steelers for 5 years, during which, the team had much more success than his time with the Browns. Interesting that he's choosing to retire as a Brown rather than a Steeler.

Baffled why he couldnt find a team. I think the guy can still play.

I can't say I'm surprised he retired as a Brown. I am sure from Joe's perspective he feels like the Steelers threw him away like hot garbage.

Either way I wish him well in his retirement. I hope his resentment ends in time.

You really are relentless. Is it really worth all the time you devote to trying to suck people into these negative threads? There should be a thread about Haden retiring, but of course, your OP is focused on him choosing to do so as a Brown. Of course he made that choice. He's pissed at the Steelers for not offering him the money he wanted to come back.

He was drafted by the Browns

He played longer for the Browns

His best years were with the Browns

I have no problem with Joe retiring as a Brown. He spent more years there and was drafted there.
Last I knew he even owned a fancy shoe store over there in Cleveland.

He will acknowledge the Steelers no doubt.

Joe was a stand up classy guy, met him in the elevator in Indy when I went to watch the Steelers play there 5 years ago or so.
I ended up staying at the same Hotel the team was staying at.

    Very nice guy...

Joe seemed like a good guy. When we got him,he turned into our best DB instantly and gave us years of great play. I wish him well into the next phase of his life.

    So thinking about it....

Was Joe Haden the best CB the Steelers have had since Woodson?

Good question...hands of stone Ike Taylor is right there, but I think overall Joe gets it.

Absolutely this. I'd prefer he retired as a Stilla, but I'm not do be upset about thus. Haden was a solid player for us. I wish him well in his retirement.

What the hell are you talking about? How is this a negative thread??? There are so many different Benny post's that you could go to town on, but this isn't one of them.

Are you mad about the word "Interesting", because that is the only questionable thing about Benny's original post.

I am sorry that you are incapable of reading critically and understanding what is implied as well as what is directly stated.

The implication was in the OP was very clear, that it was some failing on the Steelers' part that Haden was choosing to retire as a Brown. Even if it wasn't Benny, who is almost always negative, that should have been easy to see.

I suggest you read some poetry, which is great practice for making inferences from a text. Even you can develop your skills if you try.

When I heard the report he was retiring a Brown, before I even checked this board, I had nearly the exact thought as what Benny posted. I'm about the furthest thing from a negative person. Just my two cents.

Haden had an immediate positive impact on the horrible Steelers backfield. Best wishes to him for a happy retirement!

I wish we could have drafted him and had him here his entire career.

Such a great player and person in general!

The difference is that with Benny, it is part of a pattern of trolling this board with his negative bull****.
