Problem is Trubisky doesnt have the clout to flip Canada off and draw plays up in the dirt and Ben also wasnt in any danger of being benched.

Trubisky could be playing for his job on Thursday.

I agreed Blast but it seems no one wants to look at the top issue. Tomlin obviously won't fire Canada but I could see Pickett against the jets if the offense sputters again. Then we will see if it was Mitch or the scrub calling the offense.

    Truth.

Why, is the stadium hiring concession vendors?

As long as the don't ask him to throw anything at anyone, he should be fine.

I'm not opposed to Canada. But i'm seeing some evidence that he should go.

    Fillipponi:

The Steelers haven’t scored an offensive touchdown in the 1st quarter since the Lions tie.

    That’s 11 games in a row.

And consider this: You're starting with scripted plays. Theoretically the plays Canada likes the best. And they're not working...

I've been wondering about that as well. I did notice one play like that from the Patriots game. It is one of the highlights that supposedly shows Harris choosing the wrong way to run. To be fair, the real problem on the play was a poor read by Trubisky, who would have had all day to throw or plenty of room to run if he had kept the ball.

Man, you really love making things up. It must be nice to feel comfortable filling in the gaps with pure fiction when you are trying to push your chosen narrative.

That offense wasn't putting up 30 points a game, though it was close. That offense also had the best receiver in the NFL, an elite running back, a strong offensive line, and Roethlisberger still in his prime.

Don't get me wrong. Canada was a mistake. Tomlin definitely deserves the heat for very poor coaching hires, especially on offense. That said, your characterization of that coaching change is fictional and you are ignoring the very real change in talent level from what the team had then to what it has now.

I agree, great thread. This dude on Twitter figured out Canada's offense, how hard is it for NFL D coordinators?

You know who has an *awful* route portfolio? George Pickens. Literally 25% deep fades (highest of any player), 19% gos (4th-highest) and 18% hitches (16th-highest). Yuck.

Well consider the Pat's play callers are both defensive position coach's that makes Canada's position even more pathetic.

Haley's offense would be a good OC for Picket, but no so much for Mitch.

He'd be sorely missed by the tampa bay bandits. (disregard if that league has folded)
