Mike Tomlin says they didn’t take deep shots because the Patriots specialize in stopping splash play

What is the meaning of not living in your fears? Didn't this statement come from him? Just wondering.

 

I’m sure he said “such is life in the NFL” and “we look forward to the next opportunity…”. Blah, blah, blah.

He trying to just keep hope alive by telling lies IMO.. He selling a dream he knows the guys he is starting can't play that style .. The OL can't pass block,the WR'S are not down field targets,,the QB doesn't have a good deep ball .... So he is showing faith in the guys they choose to start knowing it is bad very very bad..

He thinks just having faith in them will be enough ,but sometimes the truth is the best answer, is why his players love him he will do his best to build them up with speak knowing they are closer to scrub than star ....

 

Anyone want to bad mouth Tomlin, just need to watch the Denver Vs Houston game to know how bad a head coach really is. Could Denver fire their 1st year head coach in the middle of a season.

To think they passed on Flores to get Hacket is now just comical.


I myself like the time today when Denver forgot to send out a punt returner and had to burn a timeout because nobody was deep.

 

Today I watched Tomlin do this.. we were actually driving and had a 3rd and 1 at the 50. We had a 3rd and 1 instead of 3rd and 4 or 5 like most times. We tried to get one of the most disciplined teams to jump and give us a free 1st and burned a timeout. Killed all our momentum. Get the 1st then Mitch threw his int. Instead of just running a play and getting ONE yard.

That’s how scared we were playing all game. No confidence to get 1 yard. Can’t throw down the field. Played scared ball.

 

What a BS answer, Tomlin. You are scared.

 

That's what I got out of it as well. You can even see it on tape.

I take that as a bail Mitch out for not taking those shots. Also, the ones he hit on that last drive were bad balls. he keeps those a little inside the receivers can make a play.

 

That's not even remotely the same thing.
When Brady does it, he's a genius. What should have happened, if Mitch were really a leader on the team, is him getting everyone over the ball and trying for the hard count immediately. Then maybe a timeout if it looks like they're stuffing it.

I don't really care about the Denver coach. I care about our coaching staff. And no matter how bad another coach is it doesn't mitigate how bad our coaching staff is

i don't know what to make of this statement by Tomlin. Pats were daring us to go deep by loading up against the run and keeping all the short passes in front of the DB's.

The first game was about ball security, the second game was basically the same thing, don't you have to challenge the other teams defense at some point just to let them know you will? Pickens and Claypool have got to be given a chance to make a play. Tomlin's time has come, the team needs some new, young guns to take over.

How would someone know what someone did or didn't post last week unless someone was keeping a very close cyber-eye on someone. That's a little unnerving to me.
