They don’t even need to be deep. Just work some medium stuff in the middle of the field.

Without all22 we don’t know if those throws were available. You can’t just say we are throwing to the middle of the field. The defense does have some say in the matter.

Yes, but the severity is key here. 6 weeks vs 6months.

I tore my achillis once. I knew exactly what happened in the moment and went straight to the hospital. I got lucky with a partial tear instead of the whole thing being detached.

    LOL

Home pain is when the adrenaline wears off and you feel the full force of your injury.

Its similar to away drunk vs home drunk.

Well considering this was a problem going all the way back to the end of the 2020 season I imagine they’re not figuring out a way to make it work. But I’m sure you’re right that’s a Defense has a big part in that also.

This would be fantastic news if it turns out to be true. Also Ian Rappaport said this morning that Najee's injury doesn't seem to be as serious as was first thought.

I really didn't think Harris was bad. You could tell it wasn't a re injury. And it was just because of being twisted. I think he'll suit up on his own.

Well.. should it even be a partial tear, that still does give the Steelers a shot to win some games. That said, Mitch HAS to step it up and, to his credit, outside of one weird throw in overtime, he played mistake free for the game. If the Steelers are to have success this season, Mitch has to play better overall.

Two things are two mind you:

1.) Mitch did well enough for us to win the game

2.) Mitch has to be better moving forward.

This defense still can generate pressure but to expect any defense in the NFL have seven sacks game after game is not realistic; much less forcing a QB to throw picks four times and having a pick six on top of it.

Even if he doesn't return till after the bye week, that would be a dang win in my book. Steelers return to play the Saints the Nov 13th that be 2 months of recovery.

That defensive performance yesterday is what I’ve been waiting for since Tomlin was coaching the Bucs 2003 Super Bowl winning team.

That is, of course, if the optimism end up holding true. This obviously isn't a team announcement, so still time for bad news too. It would be HUGE for us if he only misses 4-6 weeks. We are going to need Watt to be the Watt he was in Cincy for all of 2022 if we want to make noise in the AFC.

Tuitt did this 2-3 years ago, right? Came back, maybe 80% - wore a harness (or was that Heyward?)

Turns out all we needed was the personnel

Having the best defensive player in the game, one of (if not THE) best ball hawking FS in the league, a stud interior DL, and a solid group of corners sure helps.

With that said, I've ragged on Bush quite a bit... but he looked very good yesterday. Moved laterally well. Filled his holes, covered well. If that is the Devin Bush we see this year, we are going to be in good shape. Looked like a different man from last year and the preseason.
