Why did we not do a touch back?

At the end of the fourth for our last possession we punted with 6 points up. Why did we not just take a Knee all 3 downs and then run the clock down with running it back for a touch back? Sure it would have made 4 point lead. But we would have kicked the ball back further than what the punt was.

Sounds like a safety. Giving up points is wrong there. If you can get a first down, game is over. So that’s how you play it.

I grew sick and tired of complaining about the poor clock management 10 years ago. Especially at the end of games.

The 2nd down call to throw was atrocious.

I don’t disagree, just keep in mind they may not have full confidence in the running game with this line.
