Steeler fans trying to decide if they want Mitchell Trubisky to play well the entire season or if they want him to falter early so Kenny Pickett can begin his career as the next great, franchise quarterback of the team. 27DD6867-0ECA-4CFC-8A6C-8B56B74F1296.jpeg

Maybe somewhat avoiding the two choices proposed by the question…BUT I would start Pickett NOW and I can believe we can win with the kid NOW. BB did it in his rookie season when TM went down game 1. If you are a first round draft choice you should be plug and play. Don’t understand Tomlin’s thinking on this but what do I know?

That's where I am. Once this line is showing they won't kill pickett, my "want" is to see pickett.

I'd like to see Kenny asap, but not at the detriment of Mitch. I want Mitch to ball out and win us some games.

This line is not good by any means, but pass blocking they are not as bad as some are exaggerating. Sorry people, but there is a reason 3.5. Seconds is the average clean time in the NFL. I'm more worried about their run blocking.

Jesus the season hasn't even started yet and some Clowns will be whining to no end right up to the very beginning of the opening kick off. Trubisky will be fine. The Pickett era doesn't NEED to start this season. Sometimes I wonder if these are fans of team success or just individual achievement.

I can see it now. Trubisky throws his first pick. Message board blows up. SDOT loses his mind and threatens boycott again. Rudolph comes in and gets booed to no end even though he has some success but comes up short. Pickett plays to the fans delight, Heavy Cheering abundant, throws a Pick and fans lose their mind again. Booing him straight out of the burgh.

    Doesn't anybody have patience anymore?

I just have to see a couple games to see what it really is. I suck at being able to tell what a line will be.

When I did pictures for the failvlowns. I could give spot on feedback with any positron except the O line.

I'm laughing for real with you calling out SDOT.

But I agree this board will have threads on end after a game is lost or pick happens.

Well maybe you should get out of the tent and go sit on the train cause it aint happening this Sunday, Next Sunday, the Sunday immediately thereafter and probably not at all unless we are an early elimination from the playoffs.

Personally I think Trubisky will impress a lot of people. He is in a good position to succeed right now.

I don’t foresee any issues with Mitch behind this offensive line? I feel like I am taking crazy pills on this board sometimes.

Mitch is a scrambling type QB. He will be fine.

If Mitch wins the Superbowl then Kenny may find himself on the trade block. I'm sure there will be plenty of respectable offers.

Slow down, Mitch could become too expensive.

News flash. Any QB that wins the Superbowl is going to command a 1/4 Billion dollars or more whether it be Mitch, Mason or Pickett. That's getting waaaaaay ahead of ourselves though.

I'll be rooting for wins no matter who the QB is, but I would prefer Pickett start. It's not really lack of patience in my opinion. I just don't see the point of playing a placeholder at QB which is all Mitch is. I don't think you learn much at all watching from the bench, and it's not like the guy is that young for a rookie.

A Steeler fan wants The Steelers to do well

If Mitch plays lights out for 5 years and Pickett becomes the next Mason I’m fine with that

Pitt fans and people doing fantasy will feel otherwise but that would be putting personal issues ahead of the team

I totally agree, and will not root against whoever is the starter....but because I believe this....I'm a Trubisky hater.....I don't want Mason starting, but nobody is calling Me a Mason hater.

Have no clue how this QB group is going to play. So much depends on coaching, something we lack, that I'm not optimistic.. I hope Trubisky lights it up and wins a ton of games. We'll see
