And sadly, I am not seeing anybody out on the market that could help us. I hope we have done
our due diligence when other teams try to stash OL on their practice squads.

it will be interesting who we trot out there and when we trot them out there in this game. waiting too long after these cuts works against us. we will only have 2 weeks until they count and part of that will be game prep so working a new guy in will be limited during the season because of that.

I'm hearing of a lot of injuries to o-linemen around the league, which doesn't help. Bunch of other teams probably looking for the same thing we are.

yes - like 40% of all touches. but to what end? he was worn down by January. We need (ed) OLINEMEN first, will always believe you have to WIN in the trenches. We are not....

In my opinion, Tomlin had the players to be in 2 more SB's. Again, it's just my opinion, but he let the natives run wild. Was way to lenient to players when he should have sat their ass down and explained to them that they make great money and I'm the boss. Seemed like after every TD A. Brown caught he'd incur a penalty on the kick-off. Let me see that happen with Belichick.

Now that we no longer have a franchise QB (not for long I hope) should the Steelers finish above .500 and at least stay in the Playoff hunt to the wire you will see Tomlin get a lot of support on here. It happened when Ben went down a few years back and good old Mike still got a wining season.

I know that the Steelers offensive line will be a weak spot on offense I just hope in the 2023 draft and many more that I hope Steelers General manager Omar Khan really start focusing
on the young Steelers starting five offensive line as a true Steelers fan,

Took me a long time to believe it but it's true, the trenches is where games are won and lost. Which is why I fear for us this season. If we had a good O-line Trub would have a good season IMO.

I find it interesting that Ben's and KC's retiring together is just coincidence or did KC see what's in store for the team coming soon? Seemed like KC was talking retiring for a few years just like it seemed Ben was doing the same as well. We drafted MR because of it. But now both go at the same time. Maybe all hogwash on my part but these things do make me wonder sometimes. JMO>

Absolutely. However, few have the same people causing these problems to hang around for 15 years to repeat them. JMO>

I agree, but .....if You have a great OL....97% of Qbs in the league would do good. That's the difference between great Qbs,and OK Qbs.
We won a SB with what many(not just myself), but many people say was the worst OL 2 win a SB.

The Steelers let the defense get so bad , then they drafted mostly defense as Pouncey and DeCastro got old. They should always be drafting at least one o lineman so the next man up is workable.
Missing so badly on Burns, Jarvis Jones , then 3 waisted yrs of Dupree and now Bush. All those terrible misses mean more picks on defense and less on offensive linemen.
The last good hit was DD a solid ten years. The oline is so critical building it with 4th and 5 th rd picks is dreaming.
I agree drafting Najee without having a good line will just shorten his career and waist the first 2 or 3 yrs.
I loved Ben when he was Ben but he did us no favors by hanging on for the last two years at 40 mil. If Ben could of found a way to get by on lets say 18 mil the Steelers could of build an Oline with high quality free agents.

They drafted too many receivers in the second round since JuJu in 2017, there was Washington, Claypool, and Pickens. Probably should've addressed the OL in the second round a few of those years.

well we did use a first, second and third round pick for bush. we hit on DJ and a.brown in the 4th and 6th.

why is it a dream to hit on 4th and 5th round picks? besides pouncey and DD, 3/5ths of the line was made up of UDFA's. why would you think 4th and 5th round picks couldn't be even better than undrafted guys?

we actually have dotson as a 4th round pick, moore as a 4th round pick, green was a 3rd round pick, chuks okrafor was a 3rd round pick, mason cole was a 3rd round pick, james daniels was a 2nd round pick. no 5th rounders. 4th and up. those rounds probably make up the meat of most NFL lines.

i think stability of a coach would help more than anything.

dotson alone has had 4 OL coaches since he's been here. green 3 now. moore 3. daniels at least 2. cole 3. chuks 4. that's like changing offensive coordinators every year.
