Moving to the Area!

Im transferring to Franciscan University at Steubenville, Ohio so I'll be 40 mins from the burgh for the first time in my life. I was born and raised in Cali. Can't wait to be near the mother-land!

 

Any tips on what to experience other than Steeler-mania would be awesome.

 

Dude go to Hometowne Sports....It is the most amazing store I have ever been to

 

Hometown Sports is cool but I definitely prefer the Official Sideline Store at the Grove City Outlets. All the real gear and always discounted a little bit. I do like how Hometown has the Mens store separated from the Women's and Kids. Makes it easy to find what you want for who you want. I'm like a kid in a candy store at either place!!!

 

What about some cool places to watch games and places to eat?

 

Ther's a small hole in the wall joint called abdalla's there in stuebenville that you need to take caash in with ya since they dont take ccards. Order the steak with the mushrooms and onions and the house salad. Incredible!! He hand cuts his own steaks. Any time i travel from illinois to visit family in wellsville i have to stop at abdallas!

Winter

 

Winter is what is scaring me/exciting me the most . I've been to the burgh two times during winter, but visiting and living is a totally different ball game.

 

Do you work outside or in?.....If in just get yourself a good 4 wheel drive (JEEP Wrangler)...If out get yourself a set of Carhartt coveralls. A pair of warm gloves and a good hat!!! Guessing ya already have a good 4 wheel vehicle.

 

I actually don't I have a Nissan Altima with chains, worst case scenario but I really do want to get a 4x4 because putting on chains suck! I'll be going to school there and probably working at a bank or a church. so I'll probably have to park outdoors.
