Make it the last 11 games.
Suspensions give teams back a healthy player.

That man is going to have rust a foot thick by the time he sees the field. He will NEVER be a shadow of what he was/could have been....never. MAYBE if he had gone to the Pats, Belcheat might could have saved him, but the Browns??? He is done.

I went to the Browns message boards to see their fans reactions. One guy said that it says in the Bible not to judge so Watson shouldn't have gotten anything! Another one said that the women knew what they were getting into and were well paid so what's the big deal?!
One of the Browns fans actually said that because Watson grew up in the hood that he didn't know what he was doing was wrong because "they" all do things like that. Talk about making a racist statement. The Browns fans have to be the worst.

What the hell do the Browns do now if they are 0-11 when Watson is eligible to return?

Because we know their owner has been known to tank a game or 2 if it means a better draft position; at least according to former head coach Hue Jackson..

I always said it really depends on his suspension. But nonetheless they’re still a very good team without him. Brissett ain’t that much worse than baker who they did win with healthy.

The suspension aspect is meh to me. I won't lose sleep over it. The most frustrating thing was seeing how stupid their owner, GM and Watson are. Zero remorse yada yada. Somebody in their PR department and media relations department needs fired. Who TF thought those half-assed answers was a good idea. Like come on...

No I like it this way.

What does an owner, who is already under investigation for Tanking, do when his team is 0-11 and about to get back their starting QB???

Haslem was accused of tanking by Hue Jackson, but is the league actually investigating? They already swept the accusations against Ross under the rug. They will do the same with Haslem.

Exactly. It should have been infinite with a minimum of one year and a $46 million fine. The $46 million is 1/5 of his contract, so the fine would basically wipe out the Browns' despicable tactic of structuring Watson's deal so that even a full year's suspension would only cost him about $1 million. The arbitrator ruled that Watson was guilty. Goodell said his behavior was predatory, so clearly a full year would have been the right thing, but the league doesn't really care about doing the right thing. They want this to go away, so they settled rather than impose the penalty they wanted and have Watson take them to court.

The NFLPA would never agree to a fine that big, I'm good with the 11 games suspension, they almost doubled the original 6 game suspension.

Ouch! That $5 million fine is really gonna hurt given that his guaranteed money is “only” $238 million.:facepalm:

And he should have been suspended for a full season!
