Not particularly concerned about miller as he’s been fading during camp. Joseph on the other hand had been playing well.

This is devastating news for two talented young guys that are trying to get their careers back on track. Wishing them well with their recovery.

The Steelers had Joseph last season. They only bothered to put him on the active roster twice. I also heard he had a good camp, but how is it a serious upgrade if the guy was on the roster and not even good enough to get any playing time last season?

He also jumped on a moving train. He had no training camp last year and Norwood played well

I think Joseph had a spot on the 5e this year.

But maybe not m at least this way the Steelers can give them another run next year in camp

This is why inside I laugh at all the ....trade this Guy....trade that guy talk....We've played one freaking preseason game, and everyone wants 2 get rid of all the depth already. Then later say...Well how come we have no depth. LoL

I hate to say it, but that's the first guy I thought of as well.

Same. It was sounding like Miller had a great chance of making the team.

I think that was one reporter speculating. I'm not sure how real that was.

Minkah Fitzpatrick jumped onto a moving train, too. It didn't seem to slow him down one bit.

The idea that a guy who was with the team last year and did nothing is somehow a big upgrade this year is just silly.

He dressed for two games and had two tackles. He would have to get a hell of a lot better to even find his way onto the roster. This idea that he was some huge upgrade is just comical.

It was going to be a struggle for both these guys to make the final cut but I think Miller in particular would have made a roster somewhere. He would be a decent #4 on most teams. Not sure about Joseph.

Either way they are both looking at a list season and starting all over again in 2023 which is a very tough break.

Unless Joseph has made a miraculous transformation from last year when he hardly saw the field
this is no great loss. As for Miller, I was hoping a change of scenery could have helped him. I guess we may never know?

Joseph is a seventh-year veteran who has been given the opportunity to start many times in his career. It is a totally different situation, but by all means, keep reaching to justify a bad argument.

It was idiotic to claim he was going to be some huge upgrade.

You don't think Harrison is a good example?

Was cut 5 times and was out of football completely for a year.. didn't become a starter until was 29 years old?

Karl Joseph will be 29 next month

None of that happened after starting 49 games in the NFL, which Joseph had done before the Steelers signed him. But hey, if you want to make the ridiculous claim that he was going to be the safety equivalent of James Harrison, go for it. You sound as foolish as people claiming that every quarterback taken in the sixth round is going to be Tom Brady, but you do you.
