Wow. So basically if he becomes a COMPLETELY different person/player than he's ever been up to this point in his entire life, then they may reconsider. Yeah, no problem there .

i'd still like to see genard avery tried there. i think we have some decent depth now at OLB with the newest additions. he would be wasted out there or someone else would. he was much better inside when with cleveland. at least on thumper downs.

The run where Bush was free and didn't even get a hand on the running back is when my optimism crashed. At least Jack looked legit, especially with the backfield stuff on 3rd and 1. Spillane is not the answer. Didn't get to see enough of Buddy Johnson but thought he could have done more on Geno's TD run.

Bush is playing just as bad as last year. Steelers cant extend him and I dont think anybody would want him if they watch his films. Actually from what I see so far he maybe worse then last year. Steelers need to do something to upgrade his spot or its going to hurt them all year.

What are we going to do? This sucks. We can't go through this again all year with Bush throwing himself into blocks.

    Fix this sh*t !!

Robinson is new to the LB position so he is very raw but he is still hustling and trying his best to learn the position. I'd rather have someone who plays poorly but at least is out there giving all he's got than someone who also is playing poorly because he gives absolutely no effort.

I kept seeing Buddy Johnson go the wrong way in stopping the run.

Am I wrong in assuming the #45 Johnson was out of position and should have been able to stop Smith from scoring? If he stays outside and doesn't get played for the fake it is an easy tackle on Geno smith.

Buddy Johnson should have completely Lit UP Geno Smith with a nasty tackle for a loss.

I stared worrying about Bush when he had those weird tweets about cats or something then I really thought oh oh when he said he doesn't have anything to prove.

Its not his injury its his head, he has that I am entitled attitude. Poor effort poor angles poor tackling equals short career.
Even last year didn t he sort of throw others under the bus for his poor showing.

Edmonds wasn't a great pick but it appears he works hard with less physical talent and you never hear him complain.

Bush is possibly going to waste his talent and career and in a few yrs will be telling people of his glory years ( sorry year ).

Was thinking this too, they may just have to use more dime if they can’t solve the ILB issue, it’s not ideal but you can’t run with Bush / Spillane if they can’t do the job. They have guys like Maulet, Killabrew, Norwood and Kazee that can compete for those snaps. You’d trust any of those guys in coverage over Bush or Spillane but none of them are great against the run.

I had a look at the available free agent LB’s, nothing really there so it would have to be a trade if they want to bring somebody new in at this stage.

My prediction is we will try to utilize Bush's speed as a pass rusher and take him out of obvious running situations. I fully expect to see Bush blitzing more and moving around . He can't defend the run at all. He's a mismatch that is easily exploited . He has no ability to shed blocks and he's soft. His only skill is his speed. If he can't get to the QB I expect him to be benched . I hope that we are able to land a legit ILB before the season starts because Bush is not capable and I don't have faith in any of our backups.
