So it’s about $42m for three years. $14m/year seems right and may be a steal depending how well he plays.

Good deal! By the time, the contract is up, the two rookies will have been developed and starters.

According to my sources this deal almost didn't happen. DJ accepted the deal but when they gave him the pen to sign, he dropped it.

Very Happy we get our #1 WR back at practice.

This should immediately help elevate Mitch's game.

Good news. Him and Pickens will be a nice duo with hopefully Calvin Austin being a solid 3rd WR

By what metric? We're underpaying him 4m according to several market valuations of him and, he's now the 17th highest paid WR, about where I personally rank him myself. By the end of this deal, I can realistically see him being in the 40 range of highest paid WRs. The man would've been paid more under the franchise tag. I honestly don't see how anyone, other than DJs peers, could be upset by this.

I mean if I was in his case could I turn down 27m guaranteed? That’s a lot when you’ve made what he’s made thus far and the risk of possible injury this year. But he got hosed in terms of the market. All the guys that just signed this yr got more.

Nextsxyears projected wr tag is 20 million and very well higher. Guaranteed and if yiu sign him.long term on the tag he's not taking less. This is a great value signing.

I think it’s a great signing and may be a sign of how well Omar Khan negotiates future contracts.

Claypool is here for two more years, I doubt Austin will be the #3 WR.

Then be happy for the Steelers. IMO it was a fair deal considering all the factors involved.

I’m glad this got done at a reasonable cost. The WR market is nuts right now.

Need Claypool to have a great year, so we can trade him next off season. Cuz we won`t be paying him.
