The Steelers have put Nichols on IR. They have signed master Teague the former buckeye. If that guy could get back to where he once was in columbus, we will have a stud. If. We may also possibly see Howard by the end of camp I have a feeling.

    Well, McNichols didn't last long........

Last Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Jeremy McNichols to add depth at running back. On Wednesday, they announced that McNichols was done for the season.

The Steelers placed McNichols on injured reserve and signed running back Master Teague to take his place. It's believed that McNichols suffered a shoulder injury. To open up a spot for McNichols on Tuesday, the team had cut RB Trey Edmunds.

His own durability is suspect, but if he can stay healthy, then we have a potential sleeper

He had 44 rushing attempts in 2021 at OSU for 252 yards? The Bears waived him after 3 days. Well maybe the Steelers are smarter than the Bears. Guess we'll see. I don't look for him to make the team

Yep, too bad his last name isn't Bater. But doesn't really prevent me from using that last name for him.

If I were announcing his games, it would go like this:

"Master Bater takes the handoff and just starts beating off defenders, gains 15 yards on the play"

He is like a faster Benny Snell. Pure north-South runner with no wiggle or agility. That has it's utility but he looks like a back up in this league, especially considering he was a back up in college. Not everyone can be Derrick Henry, you have to be able to make people miss in this league.

I watched most of Ohio St games, and he sure didn't look like a 4.4 guy on the field.
Like another poster said, he has no agility, and I don't think he is better than Benny.

5.5 per carry. 10.7 per reception. 1882 yards from scrimmage. 334 touches, 17 TD's, 5.6 yards per touch. not a bad backup for najee.

I have a bait shop that I go to when in Delaware, it is called Masterbaiter's.
    They have crabs too... lol

Anyway, this guy's job is like Edmunds was supposed to be, crash into the line, get the hard 1 or 2 yards.

*** Opps, I said Edmunds... wrong. Its McFarland. ***

The peripherals and yards per carry are good but...Those Stats are just like one big year for some elite College RB's...

He " looks " the part ( speed , athleticism ) ...But the " numbers " are less than stellar imo

I would have gone with an old-school last name, and a comment about what happens after a master turns 18 years old.

he has had his moments when called upon at OSU. he did well when used but just had some better players they used more. lots of top players up there. he will be a good as a backup as he was there. he is capable of taking over if needed at times. as i said IF he can repeat his best years. he did get injured during his best season but came back only to be replaced by a super freshmen. they are a passing team which limits the carries.

992 attempts in college and the pros. that's a ton of wear and tear. 3 times the carries.

In all honesty....We wouldn't have got 2 see what DeAngelo had left if Bell hadn't gotten suspended, and , or injured.
