It wouldn't surprise me if Pickens and Austin ended up ahead of DJ and Claypool on the depth chart by the end of the season.

I think Pickens is going to be so good that I would feel comfortable predicting a JaMarr Chase type season IF I knew what kind of QB play we were going to get. Chase had Burrows.

But when you have body control like Pickens does and can pluck the ball out of the air like he does then I don’t need to wait to say how good he will be.

Imo you reserve that money you'd pay DJ for this guy if he shows up game day.

Claypoole could be in a world of trouble? He really needs to set himself apart from the steep wr competition.

Let's not get carried away, Austin is more likely to be a gadget player, I could see Pickens taking snaps away from Claypool though if he plays like he did in 2021.

I think DJ is the only big name WR from the 2019 draft class that hasn't gotten a new contract.

But every team isn't as good as the Steelers at drafting receivers.

if Pickens stays healthy he most likely will be the best receiver on the team. Claypool i think might sense this and will very happy be the 2 or 3 guy. But its a good group - Pickens, Claypool, Austin, Boykin, Miller, the guy from the Patriots oslewski? , maybe other guys have a good camp - this makes Johnson's value dip. Talented Johnson is, but I think he needs to cool it with the salary stuff and be a "hand in the pile kind of guy."

There are also other WR's in this competition that could take snaps away from claypoole. He better get on his pony,
or he might see himself traded?

I agree with you about the question mark at QB. OL is still a major question mark in my mind as well. Adding 2 mid tier FAs on the OL doesn't take them from near the bottom to even middle of the pack.
