Minka got a wrist injury from a bike and Alualu has knee issues. I think both will be fine.

Tomlin said Alualu had some swelling in his knee… Likely from over training. Hopefully it’s nothing more than that.

I've been concerned about alualu. When you have that much wear and tear and his age, in a position that takes that much abuse it is an issue. I'm not crying the end of the world, lol. With rotations he still can preform, but we have to be realistic.

Well in that case it’s a done deal they will be

No need even for a medical evaluation

    If Brice concurs I’m good

Coaches are over cautious this time of year. Why take the 1% chance of aggravating a starters minor injury when you can give the depth players the additional reps?

Meanwhile the message boards are freaking out that said player's career is over.

First day Alualu on the PUP list. Great.
Hopefully Ogunjobi is healthy and ready to go.
    Minkah will be fine.

DLine off to an excellent start. The two guys I was most worried about Alulu and Jobi most likely already missing God knows how long.

How many starts to training camp does he need to approach Casey Hampton's record? Didn't Big Snack always end up on the pup list the first few days because he couldn't finish the run test?

I think one year he was close to 400lb  He was put on double secret probation a few times...

The Alualu knee i'm hoping is not a lingering issue. I was happy he was coming back but it does concern me especially the way things get hush hush internally.

I don't care what anyone says....not all , but a good percentage of those injuries are because they are not properly warmed up.
I've watched warmups before a game, and thought.....Man I hope they did something else behind the scenes.

I was being sarcastic, but I agree unless they can stay warmed up during pregame it could be a problem.

I hope You didn't take that as anything against what You said My Friend. I was just using Your comment as a jumping off point.....because it made me think of it. Nothing more. So please don't take it the wrong way.

Got to say Alualu ... not good, given his age and injury history ... yikes. Knee swelling already.

That ain't going away this season.

He will have the best medical care/ trainers available to him. He is a gamer, I expect him to come back
as any world class athlete would for his age. Remember he was never an Aaron Donald or for that matter Cam Heyward.
He is a cog in the wheel of this DL. With proper coaching and rotation, he will be fine.
