TRIUMPH THE INSULT DOG SAYS "HOLD MY CIGAR"

As for the QB battle, it's like a Heinz Ketchup commercial. Anticipation!!!!

Interesting take on Trubisky in this clip saying his biggest problem those 4 years in Chicago was that he could not read, Decipher, NFL defenses. The guy then asks what happens if Trubisky still has this same problem?

The Steelers will not actually be able to evaluate this until week 1 of the regular season. During practice, or even the preseason games he is not going to be required to read any complex defenses that he has never seen before as everyone kind of runs a vanilla defense during this time.

To me this is why you keep Mason on the roster, just in case Trubisky falls on his face coming out of the gate in the regular season and you don't want to have to throw your rookie QB to the wolves in Week 2 or 3.

I think there are A LOT of QB's in the league that can't read defenses....not saying that is good, just saying they are out there.

No change. Trubisky will start. Then Kenny needs to make Rudolph expendable.

It would be hilarious to view this message board if Rudolph is the starter in week 1 vs Bengals. The meltdowns would be epic....and highly entertaining.

Whether Pickett makes the field won't come down to how well he plays but how well the other QBs play. And both Rudolph and Trubisky have decent preseason QB ratings. Why? probably because vanilla defenses are on the field so it's a lot of pitch and catch for the most part. Even the speed of the game isn't the same as reg season for the most part.

Depends on how the others look and who he is looking good against

Plus it depends on how well he does in practice usually even more so

And how he learns the playbook

Home... considering that he's also a Pitt guy, I can get away with wearing the jersey during Pitt games. Gotta love 2 for 1 jerseys lol

Good Question. If Kenny Picket is #1 who is #2

The new guy that failed to take the starting role?

The guy that has been her 5 years, the last 2 years working with Canada to bring his offense along slowly for this year? Mason probably waited until Ben left the room to have conversations with Canada.

Mason has plenty of experience on how not to treat a rookie QB. The Mason Picket relationship could be something to watch in camp and preseason. See who Picket goes to talk things over with.

Saw alot of people here praising him for being so pro ready, said he was worth where he was drafted, and said he has all the tools to be successful. That's a day 1 starter. He's not a project from what I've been told so what's the problem?
