In an interview I think in the post gazette, Lefty said his ribs were hurt on a sack in the first quarter, and the injury did not effect his game. If that is true, which I doubt, that means he stunk up the place on his own, because many of his passes were terrible. I had been chalking up those bounce passes to his injury, but if he is to be taken at his word, and those passes were not affected by his onjury, I am glad Batch is playing this weekend.

Just once come out and say it. I screwed up by trying to stay in. I should have taken myself out because I couldn't get anything on some of those ducks I threw.

Yeah! Right ,then why didn't they attempt any more deep balls to Wallace. After all if it wasn't for the first PI penalty we probably wouldn't have scored at all. I call :bscow: on this whole situation and how it was handled from the HC on down. Hopefully their play the next few weeks will make us all turn the page on this. The most disappointing thing is when people try to tell you something different than what you see with your own eyes.

Agreed. Tomlin has a weak spot for these injured guys telling him they're alright to play on when in fact they're not ie, Ben in the San Fran game last year. It's good to have that kind of belief in your guys but there are times when reality needs to set in and last week's game was one of those times.

Do you remember that SF game last year? Ben had NO business being in that game. He limped out there and couldn't move. I guess when your backups are as worthless as ours you have to make these stupid moves. Tomlin is a fool.

but who is ultimately to blame for that... is it his responsibility to come out? and if he doesnt inst it ultimately tomlins decision to pull a guy that is bouncing 15 yard basses.. and is sucking wind like he just ran a marathon in denver? and tomlin said he didnt see it? whats the watchin ? the cheeerleaders? if he didnt see it he should be fired immediately.. and we are running the ball great.. run once at the goal line and get 8 years.. ran consisently well all night .. and whats tomlin do.. he passes it once incomplete.. then does a fade out of bounds. i never understand an out fo bounds fade.. call the play a 1/2 step more IN BOUNDS and BOOM .... TD instead of out of bounds and wallace did nothing to stay in bounds either.. he just pranced out of bounds... wallace needs to go.. i hope i never see leftwich onthe field again.. and tomlin better get his head out of his a$$ or he wil be taking the next train out of town... if charlie stinks up the joint today all of you can jump on me because i called for him to start last week over leftwich..

I seriously hope that Leftwich has taken his last snap as a Steeler. His elongated windup nearly got Heath killed on that last drive and then when he telegraphed his pass to Cotchery by taking a month and a half to deliver the ball it resulted in several broken ribs for Cotchery.

Heard charlie talking about it and he said that normally you can play through it that day and they were asking him over and over whether he could go. They didn't think it was bad on the sideline. He did say he started warming up on his own.

    Batch's release looks like Marino's compared to Lefty's. :smiley1:

BULL CHIT If his ribs didn't bother him then he should have got that ball to our receiver #18 I think with about 30 seconds left at the 5 yardline

Yeah but lack of quick release and the velocity should be factored into the equation. Batch cant throw at 55 MPH like lefty and Ben.

Funny thing was in Tomlins presser he said he did not know how Leftys ribs got injured but he said he suspected the first play where he rolled into the endzone .. lol.. Right. I am a dumb shiat and even I am not that gullible.. No way he hurts his ribs on that Macgyver

I am starting to wonder about Tomlin .. Wow I never thought I would ever utter those words or even type that but he had to know Lefty was grimacing and you pull a player thats hurt cause he is hurting the team and himself by not being healthy. I mean come on ... There is no way you listen to a player if he says he is OK. They all say they are good to go..

Lefty's doing what a lot of athletes do and what a alot of you wish Ben would do, saying nothing was wrong and move on to the next question. Of course it affected his game.

MT has done it in the past and so did cowher with troy. MT has left ben in games when he knew it was affecting happenings on the field. cowher used to play troy when there was noway he should have been out there. those always cost us games too. i'm not sure why they do this.

like i said earlier, i don't think they pulled him because all we had left was charlie. he couldn't afford to get him hurt too. they screwed up not bringing in another qb when ben got hurt and they knew he was out for awhile. bad,bad way to handle it especially with the age and history of our two backups.

Agree, but coach and player should not think we are all stupid and say there was nothing wrong with Leftwich!
