    Entered my predictions for the final weeks of the season and didn't look at the seeds as I went along. Just made picks. And guess what? Under the scenario I played out, Steelers win the division, despite losing to Baltimore again in a couple of weeks. AFC seeds: 1. Houston; 2. Denver; 3. Pittsburgh; 4. New England; 5. Baltimore; 6. Indianapolis

    If you don't think the Steelers have a shot at the division title, you need to look closer at Baltimore's remaining schedule.

    If the Steelers lose AGAIN to the Ratbirds, we do not win the division. It's going to be tough enough if we actually beat them in Baltimore.

    Well first the Steelers need to win out
    @Cleveland, @Baltimore, Chargers, @Dallas, Cinnci, Cleveland...Giving the Steelers a 12-4 record

    Then Balt needs to loose at least two or three times.
    @SD, Pitt, @Wash, Denver, NYG, @Cinnci

    @SD - We can hope...its not easy to make the cross country trip...even though SD sucks they can occasionally explode with a good game.....BALT W
    Pitt - We better hope we get the next one.....vs losing 4 straight to them . BALT L
    @Wash - to much for the Skins...its basically a home game - W
    Denver - Even at home they don't have enough to deal with Peyton and that Def . L
    Giants - this is the wild card IMO....which Giants team shows up? Lets hope they start heading towards that late season surge. L
    @Cin - This one could mean everything to Cin...and nothing to the Ravens....Cin could be fighting for the 6th seed.....so who knows.

    But none of that matters if the Steelers don't start their W streak now.

    The Ravens have a really really tough schedule to finish, but I still say near impossible for the Steelers to over take them. However they are vastly over rated, so I guess the impossible is possible.

    now i will try to follow you (while i think we will lose more than one game)
    if we go 5-1 losing only to baltimore
    baltimore can go 2-4 losind to san diego denver giants and cincy
    we get the division at 11 5 (balt 10 6)

    I'm watching the Redakins on TNF and RG3 and co are putting up points on what some would argue are the best cb duo in the league, now I'm not already adding 1to their loss column but to me it seems they would give the rats a run for their money

    If I read this correctly, we win the division, but don't get a bye and have to play the Rats in the first round of the playoffs. Three times in one year - yuck.

    Aren't we 3-0 when we face them a third time in the playoffs? I personally enjoying ending their season

    totally totally agree 12 to 88- I've been saying that myself.
    The "easiest" game for the Ravens left is likely the Redskins game- but what is RG III and Co. going to do against their soft rushing defense?

    And yes we are 3-0 in playoffs- in fact the Steelers are 9-0 historically against divisional opponents in the playoffs. I hope I never live to see that change.

    Yeah, kinda interesting "simulator".
    I didn`t take the time to pick individual games myself, just looked at what they already had as a starting point(Balt coming here, as the 5 or 6 seed, in the wildcard round against us, as the #4 seed)...
    Then, I let it simulate the games from here out, based on win percentage, and The Cravens win the division, we go to New England as a wild card...
    Neither road is easy, and we need a healthy Ben in the playoffs, to go anywhere(along with hopefully Troy, A. Brown, and a few others), but it looks like we a t least make the dance, no matter what.
    I wonder if it factors in Brian Hoyer, or whatever his name is, possibly coming into a game for us???
    Assuming we make the playoffs, I don`t really like facing either the Cravens, or the Pats, but I guess I would take the Cravens at home... as opposed to the Pats, on the road....
    Wow, winning superbowls isn`t easy, is it?!?
    LOL...

    I did and I still like the Ravens to win AFC North for the third time in a row.

    without going back to look, I believe we won the division in 2010, enroute to going to the Superbowl. Beating the Rats then Jets along the way.

    Well, it started with me picking a Jets upset last night. Still, the Pats have games against the Texans, 49ers, and Dolphins.

    I think this was what I did. I basically conceived of a very real scenario where the Ravens fall apart in December. And let's not forget: they also have a game against Dallas, always a dangerous team no matter their record. And they still have the skins, too. If the Steelers go 5-1 down the stretch, I really do believe they can still take the division over a team that beat them twice. I am not saying it is going to happen, but it very well still could. Keep the faith, guys.

    While I don't doubt that the Ravens can lose multiple games to finish out the season, I have doubts that we will only lose 1 more game ourselves, simply because of the QB situation. Even when Ben comes back, how effective will he be? Will he productive or will he be the Ben of the SF game?

    When you play with the ESPN playoff machine, it's really easy to come up with viable (I would say likely) scenarios that put us as the #5 seed traveling to #4 seeded Baltimore. That is my preferred scenario if we make it as a wild card. I would also be fairly confident going into New England if we are healthy. I am not really excited about the prospect of going to Denver without Clark. My preferred road as a wild card is to start in Baltimore, then go to #1 seeded Houston, and then finally to New England for the AFCCG after they knock off Denver.

    Of course, it's also pretty easy to concoct realistic scenarios where we win the division at 12-4 or 11-5 and get the #4 seed. However, for that to be realistic the next two games are almost absolute must-wins.

    We are not winning the division. 5th seed at best.
