Going into only his 6th season, TJ Watt is incredibly, only 8.5 sacks shy of passing James Harrison as the teams all time sack leader.... Just wondering what everybody's opinion is of which week he will break the team record......
Also, will he break the tie with Michael Strahan for the season sack..... If you include the games that he only played 1 or 2 quarters, then he basically tied Strahan in only 12.5 games..... Will he break that given a full season...
Definitely one of the most incredible runs I've seen

I would love for it to happen week 6 against Brady.

I am with @Remahlehs on Week 6. Possibly earlier. Week 5 could be it also but Week 6 just seems to reasonable here.

But for injuries over the years, he may have already set the Steeler record. Wouldn't mind also seeing someone approach Mel Blount's single season record of 11 interceptions. :thumbs up::dfense:

Hopefully it's "weak" that he has a "strong" performance.

Both records would already have been broken long ago if all the opposing Olineman been called for holding. Flag some of the players in the first qtr that he goes up against and he destroys opposing QB's the rest of the game. Strahan's gifted record = shattered. Silverback's team record = long gone. DPOY several times already.

It would be great to see him break that by week 6 against Brady, but 8.5 sacks by week 6 may be a tall task. Let's be honest with ourselves, Ben led a lot of 3 and outs last year that put our defense on the field quite a bit. If our offense is abysmal, he will have a shot.

But then you'd have to acknowledge that Harrison was held as much as TJ is and his record would be higher if not for that.

You mean mauling. Its unbelievable how much he is held and STILL fights his way to tying the season sack record.

To be fair Silverback was held just as much and could have had more. Beast.

    I say week 5

That lay down by Favre was an embarrassment just like his retirement tours. Lost respect for Mr. Flapjack.

I feel if he stays healthy the sky's the limit. Need to see more sack production out of Highsmith.

Harrison was held a ton. I talked to a Packers fan after the Super Bowl claiming Harrison didn’t show up. He was held so many times it was ridiculous.

That gifted sack to Strahan was almost as embarrassing as Favre sending pics of his sack

You are 100% correct. It's no wonder that the league is a scoring machine when the QB's can sit back for an extra second or two while the receivers break open. Thanks FF and Roger Gooddell. Shutouts are pretty much a thing of the past now.
