    ... was 2009.
Like last year, they had 10 wins that year.

The next season, they went 4-12.
Last place in the AFC North, and lost both games against the Steelers.

Here is hoping history repeats itself.

(In 2010, the Steelers won the division, beat the Ravens in the playoffs, and went to the SB.
But that might be a bit too much to hope for.)

    Bengals gonna bungle

Steelers not far from top defense and being able to run the ball. That combo can string together wins.

As Berman used to say, “that’s why they play the games”

These Bengals are much different than those 2010 Bengals though. If anything, these Bengals are much better than those Bengals in every way that counts; doubly so at the QB position.

Joe Burrow is very much for real. Now, whether or not he can make it to another Super Bowl is anyone's guess. However, he has proven that this league is not too difficult for him to succeed in. JaMarr Chase is either an early darkhorse OPOY Candidate to, at worst, being one of the top three WRs in all of football.

The Bengals Defense has also gained some improvements this Offseason; Daxton Hill being the tip of the spear. His position versatility will no doubt be of good service to them; doubly so since it is likely that Jessie Bates III is headed to FA come 2023.

In short?! Do not sell Cincy short.

One Steelers DE rolling up on Burrow's knee takes care of that issue.

Not the way I want to win against Burrow. Fair and square for me. You do you good sir.

The bengals went to the Super Bowl last season. If they didn't have the Steelers offensive line they probably could have won...

I wonder what Kimo von Oelhoffen is doing these days?

I agree except for Chase ,and the OPOY . I think it's a bad Idea for a Wr 2 win this. Unless.....
    1. He throws it 2 himself.
    2. He does it with multiple Qbs throughout the year....., or.....
    3. He's the only person on the team that catches the ball, and scores TD catches......
Anything other than those 3 things.....if a Wr wins it people just must come out ,and say(tell the truth)......We just didn't want 2 give it 2 the Qb.

Bengals are pretty stacked. You guys forget they not only swept us but blew our “elite” defense up.

In both games, Ben threw 2 INTs. In the second game, they also added on a fumble.
Losing the turnover differential makes a big difference.
If the Steelers cut down on the TOs, the Bengals very likely win the second game anyways, but in the first game... maybe not.
(Less than 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing is not exactly blowing up the defense.)

Also consider that the current DPoY was out for that first game.
That has to make a difference.
Burrow wasn't sacked at all the first game, and 3 times in the second game.
If Burrow takes a beating early and often, the season opener will be interesting.

The Steelers need to at least split with the Bengals this season, they have beaten the Steelers easily the last three meetings, that's unacceptable.

JaMarr Chase is the de facto number one receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. Whomever is a close second to him... is not even a laughable close second. In addition, when all else failed in his Rookie Season, JaMarr Chase was able to deliver more times than not. Yes, Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins are superb receivers in their own right... but not in the same vein that Chase is.

    Close.

How much closer will be determined in Year Two. If he can consistently separate at a higher rate than even what he was doing in his Rookie Season, we will likely be looking at one of the greatest NFL Sophomore Surge Seasons in league history. What he did in Year One is note worthy by itself.

    I know... I know.

Just have to trust the FO that they can overcome this. One thing is for certain though; at worst, this team is better equipped to run Matt Canada's Offense than it was a year ago... on paper. In practice?

    We shall see.

Never said He wasn't My Friend. I was just stating that a Wr should almost never win OPOY....unless He meet the before mentioned criteria.
