No complaints here. Do feel bad for our international fans here on the board. But as far as the team is concerned, I consider this a win.

Said it before. I'd LOVE to watch Steelers here but completely understand it also is better for most fans if all games are USA based. I follow 'soccer' madly and if my team played a regular season game abroad I'd be livid.

Kinda surprised they didn't get the Mexico City game. IIRC there is a big Steelers fanbase there.

Funny, I guess I need to get my "readers" on.

I read that as "New International Game for Steelers"

I’d rather they were born in America

But if they play in Mexico City I would probably go

    Then I’d aim for Zihuatanejo

Good, I'm glad we aren't playing in one of these. We don't need the distraction.

I was listening to 93.7 The Fan today and they were discussing a future possibility of the Jaguars moving to London eventually and what that may look like hypotheticalIy ,I just can't even fathom something like that, just crazy.

I think this is one of those years where the team travels are very limited. Travel fatigue a or jet lag cannot be any excuse for poor performance. Lol

I'm sure they would love to try it, but the logistics from scheduling, let alone trying to find lodging, transportation, and the expenses involved would be a nightmare.

Great, our service employee's here in WPA need the home game to help support their families.
Quick question, has anybody ever heard how the NFL compensates the city that loses a home game?

Just what every NFL player would enjoy. 8 hour plane rides and jet lag.

Exactly. I get trying to appeal to a fan base abroad but it’s insanity and its for one reason, greed.

I'm not totally against international games. I just don't like London when there's cities across Europe that have far more support and football growth in their country than England/UK. Germany is definitely a start in the right direction. But I'd be going to Vienna, Paris, and even Stockholm before London. Not saying UK doesn't have fans (we have a few on this board), just stating places that have US military bases in Central Europe has more revenue potential.

And that is the place that Rooney mentioned when asked if there were any acceptable international locations (if the team was forced to play).

I'd accept Steelers vs Dallas as a yearly game in Mexico. Both teams would draw regardless if it's Guadalajara or Mexico City.

Perhaps, but the Steelers and Cowboys have the two largest fanbases in Mexico, and there's significant history between the teams to justify a annual nonconference rivalry game.
