Love the CA3 pick. Loved the player even dating back to 2020. Happy to sew we got him; in front of a division rival no less.

CA3, like Connor Heyward, will prove his doubters wrong health permitting. I understand the NFL is a different beast and having a chip on one's shoulder can only take a player so far. However, given how far CA3 has come since his days in High School and how he has substantially improved YoY (Year over Year), he is a player I am more than happy to push some proverbial chips to the center of the table for.

Bear in mind that Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool will not be on the team together come 2023. One will have to go. 2022 will decide that; perhaps sooner.

I don’t understand the question. A lot of people knocked guys like Welker for being short. I don’t know Austin but, if he’s as clutch as the Welkers of the world, that would be great!

    Stupid autocorrect.

    Welker not weaker

we are in agreement. If we get Welker type production from him we will be happy.

A strong breeze will blow this guy over. Might be good for kick returns and a jet sweep here and there.

Because the small speedy WR or RB experiment that they've tried for years never seems to work. I would have much rather seen us add to the secondary, Oline, Dline or LB at that spot. But, it is what it is and I'm hoping he's a beast now that he's a Steeler.

AQL posted a vid of this guy running a goal line route. He changes gears and directions as if someone is controlling him with a joystick. I don't know what the future holds for this kid, but if he works his ass off and wants to be a Steeler, he has the type of talent where the sky is the limit as far as I can tell.

We took Burns because Bengals got the CB we wanted.

Cool, however the Ravens suck at drafting WRs.. So not sure if this story is a positive or negative.

This. This would be like another team celebrating because they "stole" the CB the Steelers wanted to draft...

The positive is that in addition to whatever value he brings to the Steelers, that value is kept away from the Ravens.

It didn't work because they were stupid about it. Going back to Logan where BA ran three fake reverse/hb dive plays in a game in which they never gave it to Logan and the defense keyed on Mendenhall. After that it was Archer and Rainy(?) where they never disguised anything. This small quick guys would get in for a single play and everyone one knew they were getting the ball. Then came Samuels and McFarland where they tried some wildcat and poorly developed running plays. So depending on Canada's game plan this might have the same results or it might work this time.

Also, those are running backs and Austin is a receiver.

What he was getting at is that they have tried the smaller, quick wr/rb niche player and proven time and again that it doesn't work. Heck the bubble screens, fake reverse, jet sweeps with regular sized guys hasn't really worked either.
