No, it is because older college QBs dont pan out. For example Brandon Weeden. They are higher risk and I dont think worth the risk especially in the first round. My cutoff is 23 on draft day.

Those pesky gloves are hard to come by. A truly rare phenomena found only in the most desolate and dangerous regions of uranus

Cam Heyward is going to pass on some seriously great leadership onto Kenny Pickett. It's going to be as strong as the Cathedral up in Oakland.

This. Let him play and see. While I'm not sold on him, he's here now, and let's just see what he does.

All this talk about him being 24, big deal

Steve Young was 30 years old before he became a full time starter

Rogers was 25 when he became a starter.

That’s just naming a few, Just because Pickett is 24 doesn’t mean he has hit his ceiling.

The valid part of talking about his age is the idea that it took him a very long time to become an outstanding quarterback at the college level. He showed flashes, but he was nothing special until his senior season. At that point, he was producing mostly against opponents who were younger than him. Of course, to me, that shows his ability to grow and learn, that he can improve on some of the flaws in his game, but I understand the logic the other way.

Never get tired of seeing this building when I go up to Oakland. Such an amazing gothic structure. I think most people from the Pittsburgh area would agree that it's an amazing part of the city. When you come up Forbes and see it, it's always breathtaking .

I love seeing it from various parts of the city. Almost everywhere you go, you can see at least a glimpse of Cathy.

She also makes an excellent drunk beacon when you're stumbling home.

Do you think OBJ makes "that catch" without rubber gloves? Hell no. But they are allowed to wear them, as well as QB's. I'm actually surprised more NFL QB's don't wear the gloves. It's a big advantage .

Not for QB’s, the ball sticks to the glove. I used to hate when Ben had to wear a glove, I think he played much better without them.

OK, I've mellowed. I'm still trying to deal with my disappointment of a 1st rd QB. I really have nothing against Kenny. Seems like a kid you can root for. I don't see him as superstat QB, which is what you want out of a "1st rd. QB". But, I have certainly been wrong many times before.

He doesn't have the tools that "wow" you, like you'd hope in a 1st rd pick. But, I'll put my disappointment aside and root for this kid. And it's not cause I wanted Willis, I didn't want any high pick at QB this year.

Having a superstar QB is just so important nowadays, and none of these QB's really felt like superstars waiting to happen. Now I just want to see what the kid can do on Sundays.

I don't agree. Being able to squeeze the ball hard, without it slipping out of your hand, is a big advantage. Especially if you have smaller hands.

If you have Ben sized hands, I don't know. When I would use Stick Em or pine tar on my hands, even in good weather, I had much more control and power over the ball. I have large hands but short fingers.
