These are players that I believe have ties to the Steelers based on visits, noted interest, or pro day attendance. I will make some predictions at the end.

My predictions for today.....

The Steelers will double down on WR. Look for Justyn Ross in round 4 or Reggie Roberson in round 6.

The Steelers will take a RB. I think the guy will be Leddie Brown with one of the two 7th round picks.

If Darrian Beavers or Daniel Faalele are there in the 4th one of those two guys will be the pick.

I believe the Steelers trade for an extra 4th or 5th, either using a player (Mason Rudolph) or a 2023 pick. There is still a lot of guys out there the Steelers like.

 

Tariq Woolen is still available at CB..... At 6'4 with 4.26 speed he's more than worth a look.

Smoke Monday is also still out there at SS

 

I would be happy with either of those guys. Monday is about the last safety out there that I like.

 

After watching Ross in the NC game as a freshmen I was sure he would be a stud. For whatever reason it never really materialized for him. Doubt they take him as he’s pretty much a clone of what they already have in claypool and Pickens. I could see them going with Khalil Shakir in the 4th as a slot receiver.

I would be shocked if they don’t take a running back at some point today. Haskins would be a solid choice. However, they’ll have to grab him in the 4th or trade into the 5th. Just can’t see him lasting until the 6th. Hard pass on Brown out of WV. Just not much there imo.

I don’t see them double dipping at DL. Stranger things have happened, but not this year. I think it’s far more likely they double dip at wr.

Beavers would be an interesting option. I’m just not sure the need is there. We’ve got a bunch of linebackers that fit the same mold. A big thumper of a linebacker would be my preference, but don’t really see that guy left on day 3. CB and SS are always options, but at this point in the draft you’re probably better off grabbing a few and hoping one pans out.

If they do go RB I'd go Chandler. if he's there . Hard runner.

I'm also thinking we trade bck into round 4, today by trading Rudolph or maybe future pick,, Sea would be a good trading partner IMO

 

Ravens have a bunch of 4s. I could see them trading one of those picks, but I can't see them and the Steelers being trade partners. It just feels dirty.

If Clark makes it to the 6th I could see the Steelers taking a shot. He won't help you in 2022, but very well could start in 2023. Mike Sullivan did attend Nevada's Pro Day. It's hard not to like Doubs even though he played against lower tier competition. I'm not sure the Steelers showed any real interest in Melton but I included him just because I think he could be a good fit if he falls.

 

If he's still around in the 6th, I would snatch up Pierre Strong at rb

 

I'd really like to see them take a tackle like Faalele or Walker.

Coby Bryant would be a nice pick up at CB.

Shakir Khalil out of Boise State would be an excellent developmental WR.

 

IMO Haskell Garrett is a 4-3 DT. I don't think he fits the Steeler system.

I like the rest of the list.

 

Sam howell probably.
