I’m not questioning the experience. My point is that people constantly pointed out that Green was undersized even though he is the same size as Pouncy and Linderbaum (who those same people loved) is 2 inches shorter and 17 pounds lighter than Green.

    People are dumb.

Or Ridder. He is just about as much of a carbon copy as Kirk is. Like Pickett... Ridder does not really need to sit and can compete right away.

Just one team needed to take Pickett before us and Willis would have been right. Now with Detroit trading out of the 32 pick, he won’t even go the first.

Hoping it's Dax Hill or Pitre

Someone is going to have one HELL of a chip on their shoulder... and I am all for it personally.

Wishing him the best for certain. The Vikings could still take him but Desmond Ridder or even Matt Corral would be the better fits for the Vikings.

My issue with the Green pick wasn't his size. He is very athletic, strong, and quick. My issue is that he wasn't a C and having a rookie starting at C in the NFL who didn't play the position in college was a head scratcher. Green was not a very good C last season.

I like the accuracy part more than the huge arm part. Brady, P. Manning, Brees.... all top end HoF caliber guys that had average overall arm strength, but were excellent because of how they played the position and how accurate they are. If Kenny can learn the position pre-snap, and have that accuracy.... there's no reason he cant be a top 10 type of guy. Derek Carr would be a solid outcome for him (I really like Carr as a player). I think he projects to a fringe top 8-10 guy that may never be elite, but will be very, very good for a long time.

There are still a lot of good safetys left for the second round. Cine, Hill, Brisker, Pitre, Cross. Some of them will be there at #52.

How do you know that? If we go back through the last x years' draft threads, would you be proud of your picks if you posted them? Few of us would. Pickett is not Trubisky. Trubisky has been given multiple starting years in the NFL. He's a mostly proven commodity. None of us know how NFL players translate to the NFL game. Not even the draft experts. It's fun reading back through the draft analaysis' from past years.

I would not mind the Steelers trading up for Cine in the 2nd.

    Yep.

Pickett's processing, accuracy, Football IQ and ability to extend plays are some of his best attributes.

Looks like the Bengals just took their replacement for Bates. Wont be affording him with that Joey Burrow $contract$ on the horizon lol

Dude, be happy, we still have all of our 2023 picks still in place.

I was terrified that they were going to pull a SF 49ers and move up to get a small college QB in the top 10 this year.

I mean. He wont be complementing Bates, he will be replacing him. Hard to tell if that's going to end up being good for them or not. Bates is one hell of a player, and he will be pricing himself out of Cincy here shortly.

I don't think that is true at all. I doubt he is making it to year five if he's a bust.

I hope we are right about him. If he turns out, we should have a legit competitor. Between Jackson, Burrow, and Mr. Finger in my Booty Watson, our division has some serious QB capital. Gonna need to have at least a good one to be able to slog through and make the post season.

I'm not so sure. I think it would have been Hill if Pickett had been gone.

The worst part of tonight was watching the Ravens get two studs and the Bengals getting one.
I would have loved to see Hamilton, Hill, or Linderbaum as the Steelers' pick. I'm fine with Pickett, but I would have preferred one of those guys.
