Funny that Picket decided not to go to Las Vegas for the Draft and to stay at home in Pittsburgh instead.

I mean there is an assumption for every player in the draft. That's why players are picked where they are.

And he could be a complete bust. He could be anything. Nobody knows. I don't like the pick and if you do, then good for you. Your assumption about my assumption is foolish.

I would love Lucas in the 2nd.

I took him for the Broncos in our mock draft here.

The Steelers were never going to take Linderbaum. I wish they were, but it wasn't going to happen.

Were they wrong to pass on him for Pickett? That's a good question. Honestly, the guy I would have wanted was Hill, but I'm fine with Pickett.

No word out of Malik Willis.,... He was quoted not more than 2 days ago saying that he wouldn't get past pick 20

Yes , but when they decided 2 nip it in the A$$ it was still a running league....Going 2 pass was part of Nipping it in the A$$....with a lotbof short throws. They can very easily switch again. No not automatically, but the other wasn't overnight.

Outside of steelers world I didn't really here anyone say it but there were people on this board and other online forums saying trubisky was going to shock people. Had somewhere here arguing how he had garbage around him, carried them them the playoffs, and how the defense played no part in that.

Aren't you the one always insisting we shouldn't be mad when the Steelers pass on players they didn't really scout as much? Didn't they skip Iowa's pro day?

I don't see the nfl going away from that due to the rule changes and also due to the talent of these qbs. Qbs now are alot more talented than those of the past. It's why the old school drop back tom bradys are a dying breed. It isn't changing.

Might as well trade Trubisky right now. Maybe get a 3rd for him so they can draft another mediocre cb.

I'm pissed, i'm going to bed.

You are the one making definitive statements. Now you claim we don't know anything. You contradicted yourself. You really aren't good at this.

The only thing that scares me about Pickett is his "one year wonder" status.... Joey Burrow was a "one year wonder" as well, but it was one hell of a year lol Burrow also has hands on the smaller size (not as small as Pickett, but still small enough to have been asked about it). Not saying Pickett will be Burrow, but I think the talent is there, the drive is there, the compete level is there, and I think he can become a real good NFL QB.

Same. Kids fall every year. Maybe it will motivate him to work extra hard to be great. Unfortunately he just didn't have enough good tape for teams to feel safe taking him early. For as much as I would've disliked him on my team, he's still a young kid (and a good kid by all accounts). Hard not to feel for him. Oh well, he will still get drafted and have a shot to make it in this league. Hopefully for his sake he takes advantage of it.

I would love Kirk with Kenny's clutch gene He moves way better than Kirk, but he doesn't get rid of the ball quick enough. Kirk is a master at quick reads
