Ok, so I'm at work today and no less than 3 people came up to me at some point during the day and asked if I heard about Michael Vick walking off the practice field yesterday and basically quitting the team. The one guy said that he actually heard it on the radio and said that the reason was because Vick stated that he was not made to feel welcome in Pittsburgh.

Of course I checked at every news site I could think of this afternoon and nothing. Are these people just spouting bogus Facebook gossip or did this actually happen? It seemed weird that all these people would hear the same thing I can't find a thing about it. It all sounds very suspect.

Yeah I would think with the microscope on him, something like that would be picked up by any of the beat writers in Pittsburgh who have twitter accounts if not by one of the NFL insiders

I look at Facebook like I do drinking, if done in moderation everything is ok, if you don't know when to say when it is going to look like a train wreck. I will say this about it in a positive light it has helped me stay close to my extended family in PA where before the internet really took off we just were out of touch the miles too great. Twitter I just can't bring myself to understand, not every thought in my head is a winner and I don't need to tell everyone in the world about them.

Michael Vick isn't walking off from anything. This guy was virtual broke and bankrupt after his prison release. He needs to make every penny he can.

Mike has done nothing but praise the Rooney's,Coach Tomlin, and the organization for giving him a chance. He has also stated that he look forward to starting against Carolina. He stated the other day about people still bringing up his past and stating that he will continue to do what he can to restore his imagine

I live locally and I haven't heard or seen anything like
this. What ever team Mike Vick has played for, the animosity has followed
and will continue until he retires probably more well off than you and I.

He won't go hungry your right, but this guy is going to make every penny he can. He was once hugely rich, then broke. He isn't going to walk away from money of any kind, and not too many teams are going to give him a chance to be a QB anymore, basically why this is a false story.

My response was to " he needs to make every penny he can"... Key word needs.... Of course he wants to make all he can, everyone does ,,,,,

FYI... After he signed his 100 mil $ contract with Atlanta his parents ( mom ) won the Virginia Lottery..... The Vicks which includes Marcus will not go hungry and will live better than me over the next 25 yrs
