Minkah isn't playing for that low amount the next two years, they can get a rookie to play SS, fans are overrating Mathieu he has lost a step.

I don't know what the Seahawks were thinking, they traded two first round picks and a third for a box safety in Adams, then made him the highest paid safety .

Please point out where you said this.
I did a search, and couldn't find anything in this thread that matches what you are saying now.
(Also difficult if you expect people to remember what you said many pages ago.)

In the post that I referenced, you said "Minkah for $8-10 mil the next two years".
That is normally interpreted as 8-10 for both years, not the 14-16 for the second year that you are saying now.

Mathieu had a virtual meeting with the Eagles. His market starting to heat up. Counting Tomlins phone call thats 3 teams recently reaching out to him.

I still believe Von Miller has screwed up everything; now every player that is in their 30s thinks they can ask for a 6 year contract.

Mathieu is 31 and as I said earlier, if he's looking for the golden parachute, let someone else pay it.
What I suspect will happen is that teams will take a look at their roster after the draft and figure out if Mathieu can help them get that extra win or two.
Someone then will offer up the best contract to him.
I'm pretty confident Tomlin gaged what Mathieu mindset is.
He knows Mathieu has lost a little and he also knows a good vet know how to offset that with smarts.

Just keep Minkah and add a Safety from the draft.
This doesn't mean I wouldn't want Mathieu, I just don't want the price tag.

They don't have to be a football genius to know more than people on this Board.

But if I'm agreeing with one player and not another on the same topic, I'm still at the end of the day agreeing and deferring to a player.

I'm not sure which would be worse, if you know you are embarrassing yourself with your fawning over what you claim is the towering intellect of all current and former players or if you are really that clueless.

Let's see if you can keep up with this. You have this idea that anybody who plays or played in the NFL must know more about the game than anyone who did not. To this, I will remind you that Bill Belichick did not play in the NFL. Neither did Mike Tomlin or Andy Reid. I can keep going. They aren't the only men who never got a whiff of the NFL as a player but went on to be great coaches. I guess you don't think any of those guys know as much about football as Shannon Sharpe or Bart Scott, to name a couple of former players who are now analysts.

He’s mentioned that he doesn’t care if he does this

Although I don’t see the logic in it

    Endeavor to persevere

    He just doesn’t get it.

X’s and O’s, sure, every NFL player better know way more than me about that aspect of the game. Everything else is just opinions. Thats the part he doesn’t understand.

Also he doesn’t understand his opinion will differ from NFL players quite a lot because they don’t all hold the same opinion on every topic.
