For slapping someone? Get real. Unless you’re a career criminal that’s a fine. They’re not sending someone to the big house over a slap.

Like I said I bet you next year’s comedian is told not to make any personal insults.

Yet you try so hard to push your own ignorant views here. I wonder if you really think you have some superior understanding because you claim you are playing college ball, which is really funny.

Sad thing is He probably didn't write the joke. If You have thin skin....don't sit directly in front row at a comedy show, or any show a comic is hosting.
I thought this was as well known as don't dive into the water if You can't swim.

She has Alopecia....same thing every bald man has. Sorry is doesn't kill You.
Your wife losing Her hair because of cancer(which I'm sorry 2 hear about) is totally different then Alopecia that she has. She also has a mild version, and has kept Her head shaved most Her life before that.
So I guess all baldness joke 2 men should be banned now....it's exactly the same thing:shrug:

DJ Hughley (I think thats his name) said comedy is dead, with political correctness and how sensitive people are, he won’t do another stand up routine until he has nothing left to do because he knows the backlash will end him.

It’s assault, Glenn. You downplay a slap but ignore how soft someone has to be not to be able to take a joke. One was words one was physical, If the slap was nothing the words were less than nothing. Smith wasn’t bothered by the joke, his wife tugged his leash and sent him after Rock.

How much did you have to drink last night? :guiness:

So by your logic, the first time Mitch Trubisky throws an INT, I can walk down on the field and smack him without fear of being jailed.

Wasn't it you who just made a post about calling out knuckleheads who post dumb stuff on here?

You're probably right. You can't joke about race, ethnicity, sex, sexuality, age, illness. There really isn't anything left to joke about without offending someone. The bitter irony is, that offending someone, is what used to make the joke funny.

Apparently you and I grew up on different planets

Where I grew up men don’t tolerate other men talking about their wives

And if that crack had been made about his mom, a full scale ass whooping would have followed

No we grew up on the same planet. If Chris Rock had insulted Smith's wife in the parking lot behind Sears it's an entirely different situation.

This situation is completely different. Will Smith jumped on stage during the nationally televised Academy awards to smack a comedian who made a joke.

    Its apples and school buses.

    Um, it was assault/battery

At the lowest level, in PA this can carry up to 2 years (extremely unlikely)

If charges had been made, and at that time of night, he probably would have been held over night to see a judge

    No big house

I’ll give you the nationally televised part

Now, the parking lot behind the show in an hour or so…

For slapping someone it’s a misdemeanor. Likely a fine and some probation. And that’s if someone presses charges. Maybe get booked at the police station. But unless you have a bunch of priors you ain’t doing any jail time.

A few years back I was at the bar watching the Steelers vs Cowboys and this Jack ass kept trash talking the Steelers nonstop. Finally I listened to enough and knocked him off his bar stool.
I got a summons to appear in court. I called a lawyer and it got reduced to Peace Disturbance and $250 fine. Paid the lawyer $500. Money we’ll spent as far as I was concerned.

He climbed on stage during the Academy Awards and assaulted someone. This is not a misdemeanor slap that happens between two fat women in the shoe section at Walmart.

If you or I, climbed onto the stage during the Academy Awards and slugged Chris Rock we would still be locked up. It wouldn't matter whether he insulted our wives or not.

They were both wrong as far as I’m concerned. Rock probably shouldn’t be making such personal jokes and Will Smith probably needs to keep his hands to himself

Again, try that on stage at the Academy Awards and let me know how that works out for you.

Your story reminds me of a similar one. I almost threw a Raven fan over the railing of the Upper Deck in the North end zone seats during Bens 6 TD game. The guy wouldn't stop chanting OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO while the Steelers were on offense. Finally I had enough, and after Ben threw TD 3, I grabbed the guy and started shaking him around chanting OOOOOOOOOOOO in his face. I didn't realize how close he was to going over the railing until my brother pulled me off the guy. He and his Raven fan girlfriend left after that and I got an ovation from my section. No fines or jailtime. I'm babbling, but your story made me think of this.

We’re not gonna be front and center at the Academy Awards. And Chris rock isn’t gonna be making personal jokes about you or I.

No worries. In today's America, Smith will just be "cancelled" and Chris Rock can go on with his career.

So if I run on the field during a game and slap a Ref, you are telling me that is a misdemeanor with no jail time.
