Among the many flaws in your defense of Jackson is your attempt to dismiss his injury-shorted 2021. Part of a player's value is his ability to stay healthy. That is always going to be a much bigger concern for a quarterback like Jackson, who needs to be a major running threat to be effective. Yes, I'm sure you can find a few games in which he didn't run much, but threw the ball well, but even in those, the threat of him running opened things up for the passing game. If he stops running, he isn't even among the top half of the quarterbacks in the league. If he doesn't stop running so much, the injuries are likely to become more frequent, not less.

I see Willis as a more raw, poor man's LJ. If Steelers draft him, it's gonna be a frustrating struggle for years. I'm sure there will be flashes of greatness, but never any threat to de-throne the teams with Burrow, Herbert, Mahomes, Allen and Wilson at QB. It will be hard to get WRs on board to commit to a run oriented team, plus I don't think the Steelers have the coaching in place to mold Willis into an effective QB. Willis would be better off on the Falcons, Panthers or Seahawks, IMO.

First show me where I said that? You’re argument sucks so you make up your own and apply it to the people you are arguing with.

I’ve seen plenty say this is a good pick up. Not once did I say they said omg, he’s the future franchise. Don’t be so triggered and stop making **** up to bolster your lame ass argument.

If the honey badger comes to being reasonable. I could see it. Or possibly the DT from Chicago.

I agree with most of this. Willis is very raw. More importantly, he has accuracy issues. He is more of a projection than the other quarterbacks due to the low level of competition he faced at Liberty. Sure, his own team also wasn't as good, but he's going to have a bigger adjustment to the talent level in the NFL than somebody like Pickett, Corral, or Howell.

Even at his best, he may be someone who puts limitations on an offense like Lamar Jackson. That's not a good direction for Steelers, especially if they have to give up a lot to get him. It seems as if they would have to trade into the top 10, if not the top five. That would be very expensive. That could make drafting Willis even more damaging. People seem to be too dazzled by fast feet and a strong arm to see the weaknesses in his game. Unfortunately, Mike Tomlin seems to be one of those people. Wasting a first round pick on him would be bad. Trading a huge package of picks to move up for him could be devastating.

The only way I can see them signing Hicks is if Tuitt is done.

In any other year.... Pickett, Willis, Howell, Corral, etc... would be 2nd or 3rd round picks. Potential for all... but no sure fire Blue Chip QB that can hit the ground running in week 1.

That sounds about right. Early in the season, I had hopes that the Steelers might get Pickett in the second round. He erased that possibility by earning his way to being a Heisman Trophy finalist in a down year for quarterbacks. Actually, I think he is more NFL ready than most of those more highly-regarded quarterbacks last season. The question with him is primarily about upside, or the perceived lack thereof.

Disagree. I think the top 4-5 QBs are the caliber of QB prospects that usually go near the end of the 1st round. Guys like Jordan Love that have too many question marks to go in the top half of the 1st round, but teams might trade up to back of the 1st round to get so that they have the 5th year option if their guy pans out. The difference in cost between the 5th year option and a veteran franchise QB contract is significant.

WOAH. Both teams have improved significantly this offseason. I actually think the Dolphins are right there with the Bills and Pats with this move. Jets would still be towards the division's bottom but probably a 7 or 8-win team.

JuJus contact is coming more into focus. Could be a big production year for him with no Hill there.

The Chiefs have agreed to trade Hill so that's a big weapon gone from the Chiefs.

Losing Hill weakens the KC attack and team in a big way.

    1. I think all the Qbs from this year are projects...so anything Higher than a 2nd pick is crazy for a project. Maybe Pickett...if He goes 2 a South dome team falls out of the Projects talk.
    2. I really can't think of many....keyword here..>>"Good "Qbs that has seen the 5th year option.
So is the 5 th year option really of worth with a Qb?
If He's good ....He wants paid before that, and will even cause problems about it, and if He's not...well who cares about having the 5th year.???

Chiefs save having to payout his $15 million in roster bonuses if they move him now.

Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

And here we go. Mahomes’ contract is inhibiting their ability to keep top talent around him. Happens every time.

Well this might not hurt KC as bad as one would imagine. That is a slew of picks
