Love this song by Tito Puente with Nestor Torres. This gets stuck in my head every time I hear it.

Here's a treat for you pure guitarists out there. Most don't know that Fleetwood Mac, that is, Peter Green, wrote Black Magic Woman long before Carlos Santana made it a pop 40 classic. Here's a live version from 1970 featuring Peter Green and an underrated Danny Kirwin on dual lead guitars. Peter sings and takes turns out blue-sing Danny on lead guitar. I'm also a big fan of the replacement guitarists and songwriters Bob Welch and Lindsey Buckingham, but Peter Green was superb back in the very early Fleetwood Mac days. Enjoy.

OK - another earlier live version of a classic The Green Manalishi written and performed by Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac. This is with 2nd guitarist Jeremy Spencer who preceded Danny Kirwin. Have fun.

Now the trifecta from Peter Green and FM - a raw live "Have you ever loved a woman"" from 1968. Long slow and very smooth. I'm out.

Did you really mean "Against the Rules"? Or is the light really dim where you are. Not sure if you truly understand the "Against the Rules" button but it doesn't mean that you simply don't like the post or in this case the song version (all original by the way). Based on your other comment I'll chalk it up to perhaps hitting the wrong button? Remember - be kind - rewind. :lolol:

Edit - after reading your Hilarious and Against the Rules ratings for these classics, I now know what to not get you for your 13th birthday Forgotten 1. :roflmao:

You're so right about Lindsey. I always thought he was amazing and so impressed how he plays without a pick - using just his fingers (maybe it's not so rare but it was new to me to see close ups of his playing style). I think that could be from earlier days playing bass and/or banjo. I fully expected him to have an awesome solo career after departing FM but from what I can tell it never really took off - something about being in the FM box that really brought out his talent on all fronts - writing, playing, singing. Even his predecessor in FM - Bob Welch - went on to a fairly successful solo career after his days with FM. Here's a good but sad read on Bob Welch who helped transition FM from a pure blues band to one of the most successful rock era bands ever.

His style(Buckingham) Is probably from exactly what You said. I played banjo also, and I play what some call Hybrid(I found out recently) ...I play with a pick, and My last 3 fingers. I had an accident ,and can't use My right arm so well about 9 years ago, and incorporated that style . I wanted 2 still be able 2 pick normally, and finger pick. Hell I thought I came up with it. LoL, but I've been paying attention, and some others use it, and call it Hybrid picking(pick, and finger together).
Sorry for the book....now 2 read this article. Thanks:thumbs_up:

Edit: Was a great article. A lot I didn't know. Especially His suicide. Sad .
    Thanks Again

I'm a big fan of Extreme, and especially Nuno Bettencourt. Here's one of my favorite songs from one if his side projects.

So if I close my eyes and listen, it’s great. The video… well it’s like “let’s not show the guitarists playing their solos…”. Great tune though, and I was fully unaware that it was not a Santana original.

I agree - I'm not even positive the audio and video/movie track are the same. Why they only show everyone but Green playing their instruments is a mystery to me since he was supposedly the lead G man.

I can't figure out how to attach videos but, I just listened to a great song by one of the best guitarists ever. "Woodchopper's Ball' covered by Ten Years After. Glad I got to see them live. Alvin Lee is underrated!

Go to YouTube find it, but look for someone besides the artist showing it(because sometimes the original artist block it from being moved) up near the right will be a thing saying....share...click it....then comeback here ,and paste it.
