For the love of god if we don’t sign one they better guarantee a hof caliber buck linebacker in the draft.

If only such players were so easy to find to begin with. Never mind Buck 'Backers but just HOF Players. Sadly, they do not grow on trees.

There are quality level players in this class though. Leo Chenal is worth taking a look at to begin. Damone Clark is another. Brandon Smith is right behind him.

Where do you see Brandon Smith going? I had projected him to the Steelers in the second round and you felt at the time it was to high

Any movement on Leighton Vander Esch from Dallas? I liked him when he was in the draft.

Truth. Really don't have one on the roster.

The issue is Bush and the Scobert contract. Bush's knee won't be an excuse this season and if he doesn't make a 180 at the mental game there is trouble because he will be a starter (saving face on a mistake)

The run defense suffered due to those two. Their has to be a change and I hope its ILB pick somewhere between the 1st and 3rd.

Shobert might be gone due to that dumb contract.

With how free agency is going it shows me that Steelers planning on defense in the 1st round of the draft more than likely.

Which is amazing if true considering all we've heard for months is they're gonna take a QB.

If the Steelers take a defensive player in the first round this board will be interesting.

I still wouldn't rule that out. But, I think either Willis, Pickett will have to fall into 20 for them to take a QB.
Neither of which will probably happen.

Oh absolutely not. I still like Beavers as a prospect. To date, he still is the best pure MLB in the class. That said, I do not believe the Steelers have as much interest now but not because of his abilities or skills.

I just believe that now that the Combine has concluded, players like Leo Chenal and Brandon Smith are a bit higher on the teams boards. Bear in mind that Pittsburgh's historical draft trends hail from those two schools. In addition, for Chenal's case, Pittsburgh has had success with Wisconsin players in T.J. and Isaiahh (what he showed later on). Add Leo's familiarity with Loudermilk and the team could consider him a bit more.

No movement from him, Rahsaan Evans or even Myles Jack. Very odd in Jack's case... though I suspect he wants to be paid within the Top 3 of his position. Beyond that reason, the other two are mysteries to me though LVE's injury history does not help.

    Linebacker for Penn State.

Mind you, this was at the combine and has since been updated via RelativeAthleticScores.com. He is at a 10 now. Never mind his athleticism though, Pittsburgh has been in contact with Brandon Smith at the combine I believe.

He certainly has the size the Steelers need for the position.

BUCK also as well. However, between him and Leo Chenal, I suppose it will come down to not only who is available between the two but also who does the team like more. Add Quay Walker to the list as well.
