Glad you didn't flatline Bro. LOL That play was hard enough on the heart without being in ICU.

You mean besides them having the #1 defense, and being a bad matchup for the Steelers, Ben had his 5 interception game against them earlier that season .

And you do likewise regarding the Rooney's criticizing the NFL.

Nothing so special that the Pats couldn't figure it out a week later.

Jacksonville had a ten point lead in the fourth quarter IIRC, their offense got too conservative near the end.

Depends on which player which is bogus to begin with.

Should have been a TD as called on the field.

The point was that the refs called it one way, and replay overturned it despite their not being incontrovertible evidence it was the wrong call.

So the error for me wasn't whether James caught it, or how it was called on the field, it was replay overstepping what it was meant to do.

Anyways, it's a moot point because I don't think it was the biggest call against us. I think the non-call of the hold on Casey Hampton in the play-off game against the Jags was bad, although there's no saying we would have won the game from there.

Overall, I'd say the most significant officiating call involving the Steelers was when Lambert wasn't ejected from the game for putting that Cowboy on the floor after Gerela's missed FG.

This would be my vote. if Ben doesn't make the miracle tackle, then the Colts win that game and the Steelers don't win the SB that year. Ben's tackle frankly saved the league a lot of embarrassment. I still don't understand how the replay officials screwed that call up so badly.

Well, there was no "Jessie" on the field unless she's was a Puketriot cheerleaders, so there's that.

All time worst call was back in the playoffs vs Raiders in 1972 when the refs ruled that Bradshaw's pass bounced off of FF first before being scooped up by Franco for a game winning TD. That little remembered play was dubbed the Immaculate Deflection by locals that few today even remember. That single call sent the Steelers into a downward spiral of doom and gloom and SB Trophy drought that they never recovered from until the 2000's. I'm convinced that had that one play been called in the Steelers favor, they could possibly have gone on to form an NFL Dynasty in the 70's and collected numerous Lombardy's. Maybe Franco and TB would have wound up in the HOF? ;) :drinks::steelflag:

How about the Mike Mitchell face mask against the Browns. (Mitchell’s reaction never gets old.)

The Lambert body slam of Cliff Harris is classic. Lambert would’ve been ejected, suspended and fined in todays NFL.
