I think Watsons lawyers would probably delay until the season is over, get an early court date in 2023 and have it over by the time the season starts.

I think if they let things just move at a normal pace, the trial would take place during this season. How long the trial would last I have no idea. Take a bit of time I would think, they have to go through 22 people.

After todays court ruling, teams will now get involved.

But more importantly, Watson has his trade team list.

I said exactly the same thing before the sex stuff came out. But with all the baggage I wouldn't be willing to give up the same amount as before.

Keep at the front of all of this trade stuff being thrown around that Watson gets to approve which team he's traded to. There's some reports hinting at which team(s) he would say yes and no to, but he's the only one who really knows that. So far, though, the only claims of certainty I've seen have things still pitted between Shaun King (Steelers) and Daniel Jeremiah (Seahawks).

Watson's last year of playing he led the league in passing yards with 4823. He threw 33 TD'S and only 7 picks and he rushed for 444 yards and 3 TD'S. I don't know if he is worth what the Texans are hoping for but he is worth a lot.

I would give them two first round picks, and a third in 2023, throw in Devin Bush too :hehehe:.

Burrow though was the first pick. There's no one in this draft of his caliber.

Yes but he didn't run for 444 yards.lol
Really though the 33 TD'S and only 7 picks is outstanding and he is only 26 years old.

The Texans want three first-round picks and more for a guy who is still facing civil suits from 22 accusers and league discipline? Sorry, but no. He was worth that before all this started, but it is not over.

Watson has a blue checkmark, so I'm sure he tweeted it, It's no big deal he's relieved he won't be charged criminally.

Schefter is backing away from his idiotic response to the lack of criminal charges for Watson. I'm not surprised he felt that way, but I thought he was smarter than to write it on social media.

I agree, poorly worded I believe in both tweets. A lack of an indictment, nor being served with one does not determines innocence or guilt.

What information did the grand jury consider? Proceedings are secret but two people with direct knowledge say several of the complainants were in a waiting room & ready to provide testimony, but only one was called in front of the grand jury:

It looks like the prosecutor wasn't confident about the chances of winning a criminal trial. So, she didn't really push the subject at the Grand Jury.

The civil trial will be another story because the burden of proof is a lot lower.

Florio was pissed about this on his afternoon show today because what happened today was basically more of the same. They aren't charging him with a crime but like OJ there are civil preceedings as well that will happen as well. Apparently Schefftner is becoming a free agent and wants to break the story before anyone else and curry favor with Watson by declaring him innocent when that hasn't really happened. It was funny because Florio's producer was trying to get him to stop and he wasn't having it. He was going full tilt on him.
