For me, he was going top 15 at worst. Today's combine did not change my mind personally about the fact there was no shot of getting him. With the combine though?!?!....

Someone, within the Top 10, is getting one hell of a player. For that matter.... he just might be my new number one when it is all said and done before the 2022 NFL Draft.

i like that they met with cade mays of Tennessee. has played every position on the O-Line. 6-4-3/4 - 311. 34-1/8 inch arms. a lot of potential to play center. has the footwork to play tackle so it will help at center as well. nice. :smiley1::cool:

If the team opts to go elsewhere in Round One, I would not mind Mays myself. Very toolsy and athletic enough to warrant consideration as well. Even if the team opts for Zion Johnson, Mays can play some Tackle if needed though it would be best if he sits behind whomever is in front of him. That way, come 2023, he will be ready.

i don't think mays is in the first or second round talk. i actually think he could be had in the 4th to 6th range. i would be giddy if that were possible. i think from looking at whom they have met with there are players at every level and round that could be the guy. even into the 7th for some of them. as in my mock, i could see a couple of O or D-linemen in the 7th. 6-7-7. now they may take one earlier but i think they are going the more skilled route first through 3rd minimum. CB, QB, WR, S, ILB. then we shift to the big uglies. it is a position that is deep. actually there are quite a few positions that are deep in this one. i think we can still get quality later in this draft.

mays though has been a guy i thought was very talented and his ability to play across the board in the SEC shows that. tough guy too. i think he has steeler written all over him. fingers crossed. could you imagine penning and mays added?

I mean in the sense if the team opts another player in Round One. Round two would still be a bit rich for my blood for Mays. Round three though is solid value.

I thought Eisen and Jeremiah had a funny exchange when Chenal was doing a drill. One of them isn’t Chenal something you wear? The other said that Big 10 RBs wore a lot of Chenal last season.

Bleacher report has a 5th round grade on Sanborn. He's a 6'2 and 235 lbs "Mike" LB. His best trait is his exceptionally high football IQ, he has a great ability to read the offense and diagnose the play call. His just average speed and not great pass coverage skills lowers his draft status but he was a 3 year starter and team captain for the Badgers.

Seems right. Also, we might be looking for a cheaper FB to stand on the sidelines all game.

but we have a good special teams player in watt. cutting him doesn't save us much with the dead money and a new draft pick. i know you were being tounge in cheek there. don't know much about the guy we met with and why we met with him. maybe an UDFA type guy for camp. maybe we need another set of brothers on the team. he did have 11 TDs at MSU.
