I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole until all of his issues are behind him. I think he's a great QB, but no way in hell am I trading anything significant until I know for sure that all of his issues and punishments are behind him.

I feel very comfortable saying that this will not happen. Dulac basically said hell no, and he’s more plugged into the Steelers than King.

Is it time to start drinking yet? It will be a very long offseason while certain accusations surface very very quickly.

That would be a public relations nightmare.

The Steelers didn't take enough heat over Ben's allegations? Do they really want to take Watson's on?!?!?!

Yeah. Great QB. Not sure it's worth it.

Like I said, Tomlin LOVED Vick! He was in jail, and tortured DOGS! Idk, I'm a Dog Lover... I've had a Dog my whole Life, I've never...not had a Dog...

That....really made me mad/ sad when they brought Vick in....How can anybody hurt, let alone torture a Dog?

I just got home from.exercising with my Dog, now we're chilling watching TV...My best friend!

No thanks unless all his legal issues are sorted out and he is cleared. He is almost certainly facing a suspension and even if he can somehow avoid that it would just be a giant distraction all around, never mind what they’d have to give up for a guy who clearly has some serious personal issues.

I just can’t see it happening. Too many questions around a suspension and what the cost in terms of picks might be. Other teams will be in on him too I’m sure.

Hope they wait for the NFL's Suspension to be made official before trading anything for him.

You never know where this may go as the Houston Texans admin that arranged these massages took the 5th on the advice of counsel during her deposition.

Yeah, I will NEVER hear the end of it my house or vs. my co-workers and fans of other teams. What I’ve had to push back on and sort of defend for over a decade has not been fun.

It was the only silver lining I was looking at being relieved of post Ben era. Now this…?

And I really like Watson as a player, on our team and in our division stacked with 3 young Heisman winners.

    ::shakes head::

My feeling is that the Steelers will go to the draft for the next QB. Probably Wills or Willis or whatever his name is.

I can see Watson costing as much or more draft capital than what Denver sent to Seattle. If Watson was a final piece to our puzzle, then by all means wait and see how things go Friday and trade for him. Trading that many picks makes it impossible to build a quality team around him, for the short term and especially the long term. This defense gave up at least 140 points in its four games against the Bengals and Chiefs.

I'm not sure his legal problems are going to be over anytime soon. The sheer amount of women accusing him would indicate he is a serial offender and that there are probably more who are waiting to see how the wind blows on this.

I'm 100% for it as long as the Texans realise they are trading a damaged commodity and not the prize of the NFL

Why I can see it as possible. TOMLIN/FLORES. Both have pull and the Texans have until the 16th before Watson is guaranteed 35 mill

Friday is the day they are doing depositions to see if the prosecuter will press criminal charges and take him to court. The Texans did their own investigation into all this and must feel he will be cleared to some degree or they would not have been holding out for a kings ransome last year. That does not mean charges won't be pressed.. just that they probably feel he will walk eventually.

Here is were things get interesting for me.. the QB market for him?

    Panthers?
    Steelers?
    Saints?

And who? Dolphins Broncos Washinton all out.

    AFC EAST
    Buffalo. NO
    NE. NO
    Miami. OUT
Jets. No. He won't pick jets

    AFC NORTH
    Cleveland. NO
    Pittsburgh. Yes
    Cincinnati. No
    Baltimore. No

    AFC SOUTH
    Tennessee. Doubtful
    Jacksonville. No
    Indianapolis. MAYBE
    Houston. OUT

    AFC WEST
    KC No
    Chargers. No
    Las Vegas No
    Denver. OUT

    NFC EAST
    Giants Doubtful
    WFT. OUT
    Dallas. No
    Philadelphia Maybe

    NFC NORTH
    GB. No
Detroit No he won't pick Detroit
    Chicago No
    Minnesota No

    NFC SOUTH
    TB. Maybe
    Carolina. Yes
    New Orleans Yes
    Atlanta maybe

    NFC WEST
    Seattle No
    San Francisco No
    AZ. No
    Rams. No

    So Steelers Eagles Panthers Saints?

Im thinking Watson would pick Pitt even if the Texans wan't him in the NFC

I would do a jig if this is true. Instantly would level the playing field among all the other top QBs in the AFC and catapults us to the best QB in our division. Which would be hysterical because we’ve had the best for the last 18 years, well, last couple years not withstanding but it would be such a kick in the nuts for our division rival fans :lolol:

And if it’s true, you can be sure the Steelers already know Watson is innocent of the accusations against him. The NFL has a very good investigative body working for them. They wouldn’t make a move like this if they didnt know.

I doubt its true though but whooboy, that would be fun.

I forgot the cap.. the Texans are under the cap by 20ish mill but can go to 70 to 100 mill if they move Watson and Tunsil... better to do that early and have the money for big free agent moves
