Strong isn't a first round player IMO.

Because I don't think he will go that high, he's projected to go in the 4th-6th rounds.

He's raw, probably won't play next season, I doubt he would go in the second round .

I didn't say it. I read it. I'm looking for it now. M. Willis is raw , but they are predicting him 2 go in the 1st.

He’s predicted to go all over the place. Reminds me exactly of the Lance situation last year.

I’ll listen to an analyst talk him up only to finish off with him going end of the first or second rd. I’m like you just finished talking about how great he will be, lol. Others have him not getting out of the top 10. Then there is a ton of mocks that have us taking him at 20

People forget how teams behave when needing a QB. Top 10 is more likely.

I think Willis is the first QB off the board and there are some teams in front of us that need one: Car, Sea, Wash, NO, maybe others. I'm still down to Mitch or whomever the Steelers like the best out of Corral/Ridder/Howell. None of that sounds great. Don't want the womanizer. It's so bad I'm trying to convince myself that Jimmy or Jameis would do well here. :lolol:

Someone will take a chance on him in the Top 10. His raw talent is obvious, and someone will take the risk.

I agree with those guys at Steelersdepot go big at the QB position, you either get the QB you want in the first round, or don't draft one at all. They have too many holes to be using a mid round pick on a project QB.

What if the guy they like falls to them in the second round? Howell or Ridder could slip.

The people who don’t want Willis should feel relieved. Houston, Atlanta, Carolina and Seattle are QB needy teams. Lions and Giants could both be in the market for one as well. That’s a lot of teams.

If Willis truly is thought of as the number 1 QB in the class, one of these teams will take him. I could see the Steelers possibly jumping in front of the Seahawks if he is still on the board when it’s their turn but not up to #3 which will require a much larger draft package to get to.

I have a funny feeling that someone will need to trade up to #1 to get him in our message board fantasy draft. ;)

And y’all mean enough to do it!

I don’t know though, not too many here are high on him, I may take defense and see if he drops to 32.

I’ve had Detroit every year, I don’t think I have ever taken a QB before for them. Always had Stafford.

heck, i've seen purdy in the 7th. i think he's better then that.
You should take that long snapper from podunk tech and throw the whole draft in an uproar.

That would work too, it could be that the Steelers had a first round grade on them.

It's weird that Willis is considered the best QB in the draft, but the analysts say he needs to sit his rookie year .

I really don't want to see them trade picks to move up for any of these guys. If they take one, I'm starting to think Ridder might be a good choice if they just sit and take one at 20.

not sure about ridder but i do sit at 20 and wait to see who drops there. i'm hoping corral. may even wait if they are all gone until the 2nd and see who is there. much cheaper to move up in round 2 then in round 1.

Any of Corral/Ridder/Howell in the 2nd would be really good. I think there's a chance one of them could develop into a franchise guy. Willis is going early and TRex hands will likely go before us, too. I don't see anyone worth trading up for in the 1st round.

Agreed. I don't see any quarterback in this draft worth trading up in the first round.

Now if Ridder or Howell falls and they want to move up in the second round to get one of them, I wouldn't hate that move. I mention those two because I don't think there is any chance Corral falls that far.

As I do more research on Willis he's a solid kid. I am softening my stance. Yes he is raw but he would sit behind Trubisky this year and next. Maybe throw some sub packages in play, but, there are to many teams mentioned that need a QB before our pick and I don't want to see a major trade up for him or anyone else.

    That mistake was already made.
