So what's the difference between Rodgers and Watson?

Rodgers would cost is roughly 27 million. Is currently playing. Etc etc.

Yet you want Watson who hasn't played for a while. No one knows when he can play, or even if he can play. And had a huge list of women coming after him. Cost more for draft picks. Etc etc.

He may be on the upswing IF he doesn’t get suspended.

So, he’s on the upswing if he’s not suspended for the upschwing?

So costing more with trade picks..... Your don't care.
Him not playing for years..... Don't care.
Him possibly not going to see the field again..... Don't care.

But because you "feel" he's on the upswing. You think he's a better option for us.

The reports have them costing the same in draft capital. If we’re giving up a kings ransom for a player it makes more sense for that player to have 8-10 years left in his career. He didn’t play for a year. It’s not like he forgot how to play the game he’s been playing his entire freaking life. At this point it seems to me there is a whole bunch of smoke, but no fire when it comes to his legal issues. If the police were going to charge him it would have been done by now.

Yeah I'm lost. Because he's making it more about hope on Watson. When Rodgers is the proven player with no charges.

I'm not a fan of Watson at all. To many "ifs" and "hopes". And Rodgers I'm not a fan of because we have so many other positions to improve, and if we get Rodgers, we won't be able too improve them.

I dont want neither either ,.. Go with what you have and draft a qb, and letem set a year or 2, there are other needs on this team to worry abt either Rodgers or Watson

I'm not sure he is dismissing all of those things. If Watson is able to get past the legal issues, he has a lot more career left in front of him than Rodgers. Unfortunately for him, that is a very big if.

Even if they never charge him, he hasn't even served a league suspension yet, and one is likely to happen. They seem to be waiting for all of the lawsuits to play out and that could take a very long time.

I'm more so on board with Marriotta. And then draft a QB like Malik, if he falls to us.

FA would be getting the boy from Washington that's an OL player. And then maybe finding a meh LB or CB. As well as getting that RB from dolphins as a back up.

Then drafting a LB or CB (depending on which we got in FA) in the second. With going WR in the third.

Why sign a QB who prob wont win any more games than MR will?.. Im not a fan of MW either, he looks like to me he will be the biggest bust of the draft,.... time will tell... I have seen in interviews where he (MW) said he didnt know if he would be a good fit with the Steelers, while other Qb's Said they would love to play here.......

    I'm not a fan of "if's"
    - if he can return to what he was when he last played.
    And
    - if he can return to playing

    Does he have charges?
Has he missed a year of playing time?
Is he potentially looking at not able to return to the field?

    That's my problem with Watson.

By the way. I'm more so now with liking the idea of Marriotta, with the OL Washington in FA. Because then we could go after another FA and still have our picks.

Ryan and Rodgers kill draft picks, and put a hit cap.

He is young enough that there is absolutely no reason why he wouldn't return to his previous level of play, but only if he gets to play.

Wow if Watson is on the upswing how bad will the downswing be.
None of the pipe dream QB's Rogers or Wilson are coming to the Steeler's period.
Try and find a vet that can play if needed or hope to hit a home run in the draft.
I don't see anyone worth trading up for in this years draft class, so lets hope someone decent falls to us.
I think the Steelers are short a couple of picks this year and they have too many holes to give away any more picks on a reach for a QB.
If they need 2 OL there is no sure thing two draft picks can step in and play right away, and its not like they have 2 or 3 first rd picks.

You just finished that with an "if"...... I don't want any "if" for someone with charges against them on our team.

I'm not advocating trading for Watson. I'm simply pointing out that any argument that he wouldn't be a great addition if his legal troubles suddenly went away is simply false.

You don't think a quarterback who completed over 70 percent of his passes for 4,823 yards, 33 touchdowns, and only seven interceptions with a league-leading 8.9 yards per attempt the last time he played was on the upswing? By the way, he was 25-years-old when he did that and he also ran for 444 yards and three scores. This was all after the team traded away DeAndre Hopkins.

Of course, missing a full season isn't going to help, but the guy hasn't even turned 27 yet. Perhaps you mean that he can't be considered on the upswing due to the threat of his legal issues possibly ending his career, but on the field, there is no doubt that upswing is an understatement. Watson showed he could be a star even on a team that was a complete ****show in 2020.

Correct, I think there's a possibility his career ends or he misses another year.

Also I haven't seen any pictures of him staying active last year.

I'm not going to be happy if he doesn't play day one. And he better start off by a few weeks in having a QB rating 95+. Because anything short of that isn't worth the amount of trades it'll take. And I'm really going to be upset if he misses another year. And I really don't want to think about it he goes on to never being able to play again..... With how many ifs there are. I would give just a second round pick.

It's not like it is one charge. It's 10-20 charges. That's insane.
