Before last season I had Highsmith as a 6-8 sack type of guy, he started the season kind of slow, but he played better as the season went on and finished with 6 sacks.

year 3 seems to be the breakout year where he can react instead of think first. i'd love to see that from him. it would help TJ as well and visa versa.

I think the value at pick #20 may be a corner. Plenty of them this year.

Not I. Defense Defense Defense. LoL. We can throw OL in somewhere around 2nd ,or 3rd. LoL.
J/K. If OL I won't complain.....because it's needed. I'm just a Defense type of guy,and that whole 24th in the league kills My soul, and 2 see dudes rushing on our Defense willy-nilly ....even on the 1st drives of games it Drives Me Crazy. Hmm:hmm:
Now that reminds Me of a Fine Young Cannibals song.
Sorry. Everything Is music 2 Me. LoL

People tend to undervalue the importance of Chemistry between Defensive Backs; doubly so in Safeties. Not saying in @S.T.D@S.T.D is in the wrong for disliking Terrell Edmunds but the fact is that he is only 24, has gotten better every year and knows the defense well enough to operate functionally in. Among the more important FA's that need to be brought back, Terrell Edmunds is one of them despite the negativity he receives.

He may have some limits but his strengths are too difficult to ignore; in a draft where is technically only two Strong Safety candidates to take over for him in Lewis Cine and Jalen Pitre (do not sleep on him). For the Steelers, assuming Terrell does leave.. those are the two best options; Nick Cross from Maryland being a Wild Card. The rest of the Safety Class are either heavily Nickel based, Pure Safety or Single High at that.

Andrew Booth at #20 would be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to pass up on though. There is not a better well rounded corner than him in the class from both the athletic and fundamental side; a pseudo unicorn of a player. For that matter, I expect him to be long gone anyway; top 10 grade for me on him.

If he can clean up some of those inconsistencies in his instincts... watch out.

    Agree with the rest though.

My big question on Edmunds is what will he cost? Will his comp be appropriate for what he brings to the table? He’s an adequate SS. He generally gets his job done with a smattering of good plays and negative plays. He’s not going to make the guys around him better or cover up for other players’ deficiencies, so he needs to be relatively cheap. A guy like Minkah can help cover up some coverage deficiencies of our corners and Edmunds with his range and instincts, and that’s extraordinarily valuable. Edmunds is just good enough to do his job, and that’s it.

shore up the inside linebacker spot and the safeties don't have to always cover up for them.

stiner didn't look lost last year in preseason. stiner has a year in the system and may be looked at as a replacement. again killebrew wouldn't cost much and be an insurance policy for stiner. killebrew was starting to get more time towards the latter part of the year. he also plays special teams. i am not against edmunds as much as many though.
